Inning Bosses Reveal

Last year they made them all 99’s, but it seems like they’re probably going to go with 95 or 96 overalls. Still starters on the vast majority of teams.

Does anyone remember how early before release that SDS gave us clues on the 2nd Inning Bosses?
Depending in who the bosses are for the 3rd Inning is going to determine whether or not I keep playing.
Other than the FS cards, (don't get me started on those) imo, content hasn't been worth putting up with Superhero CPU defenders; while my defenders drop routine fly balls or just stand there and watch a ball dribble past them.
I got all 3 1st inning Bosses and sold them. I have all 3 2nd Inning Bosses and will probably sell them.
But if there isn't at keast one 3rd Inning boss that will make my team; im cutting my losses and moving on.
Then I guess you're out. They're not going to release end game cards now, but ones that are somewhat better than the ones that are already in (minus collection cards and xp reward path). They release cards that are significantly better than those that are out now, those cards would be rendered worthless. Nice and easy to the finish line.

They're not releasing end game cards now? What about the juices up FS cards? They technically may not be End Game cards; but they're better than EVERY SINGLE Live Series card out there and better then the first 6 Bosses.
Heck, except for Mantle/Biggio/Sheffield; those jacked FS cards are better than 99% of what we've gotten through the XP Reward Path and Inning Programs.
I'm just asking for something that I can acquire without playing DAYS worth of MTO, or playing the crapshoot Showdown mode.
If I'm gone; then I'm gone.

There will be multiple players at each position that are more “end game” than the FS cards that just dropped. Personally I don’t think any of them are that great. They are all good, but still on the same level as a lot of the FOTF cards and bosses we have now.
This mode is supposed to last through October at least. We’re only at the end of April.

I see a lot of people freaking out about the actual overall rating but a lot of the cards are niche, with most of the "hollow" attributes like Clutch and Plate Discipline boosted. I only see a few well-rounded gems like Brandon Marsh, Brusdar Graterol, Ke'Bryan Hayes, Nolan Gorman, and Vidal Brujan. The thing is, those prospects deserve to have good cards as they are almost all universally panned as top-30 in all of baseball.

And with the current real-world crisis going on, you've got to give it to them for maintaining a steady release schedule and the cards they've given us aren't just rehashes of Legends/Flashbacks we've seen every year.
The beautiful thing about Diamond Dynasty is you get to choose who you want to play with. So, if a certain sub-series of cards or players don't appeal to you, there's about fifty other options.

I completely agree. However, as other people have stated; they should've released the FS cards where the FOTF were released and the FOTF cards where the FS are at this time.
But I do understand that they're trying their best with what they can do at this time.

I think it would have been much worse the other way. Team affinity/Epics are the backbone of DD, it’s the free grind for team specific players. If they started the year with no names for the first two months people would have been even more upset.
When summer comes and trust me I can’t wait for it either, it will be SS and Award winners galore. Then people will come around and realize this years TA is the biggest win we’ve ever got.
Currently two diamonds, 9k stubs, 10+packs, 1 BIAH pack per team, I don’t finish them all but some people do and you can buy Trout of TAs alone. This years will continue to stay relevant for months longer than ever before. It wasn’t much later last year than now that TAs were almost already useless. By the SS pack they were super dead.
-
But to your main point, last year I believe the third inning is when we saw SS MadBum as a boss and the start of low level SS cards come out.
-
@ChArTeRBuS 3rd inning was 99 Henderson, 99 Verlander, 99 Alomar. 2nd inning had that 98 Madbum who was pretty effective for me. Only reason I know that is because I just dropped a 3rd inning prediction vid and looked it last year haha

Oh dang that’s right. I used him most of the year as well I should remember that. Hopefully we get a low CY SS or SSlugger as a 3rd inning boss.

THIS! Plus I don't think that SDS planned for people to be going crazy and having the time to do a million showdown tries or MTO. I only have one team to 70, and haven't finished the grind to 120 at all. I think the majority of people don't have several FS or FOTF cards.

That’s what he said lmao.
The 3rd inning had three 99s, but he thinks we’ll get 95-96 cards instead this year. I could definitely see that happening.
