Now everything is more expensive due to the TA2 cards which no one will probably have on their squads come October. yeah they look good but when 99's come out you won't pay attention to these cards.

So, do I sell back what I bought and wait this out? Then do collections after the hype goes away.

@thinkbluedgr they won’t be on squads come October but they will still need to be grinded out unless you put in all that time when stage 3 comes out. I just think w RS at a bad place why not grind more now then later especially how easy stage 2 showdowns are. I see SDS buffing the difficulty shortly

I'm not jumping through all these hoops to get these cards. The monthly inning program is enough grinding for me. I'll have to do without these cards. Have fun playing showdown over and over. I like RS btw. I don't think it's as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

I doubt they'll buff difficulty. I'm sure the reason they're easier is because their internal metrics showed that few players could finish them.

I can see them nerfing xp though.

TA2 better value than live series collections those. And this coming from someone who only needs 4 teams to complete it all.

Mickey, Sheffield and Biggio is basically all your paying like 1.5m stubs for. And tbh after using Biggio in showdown a lot of people will be replacing him imo. These new cards for TA2 are better than almost all live series guys and the reward cards that come from the collections minus those 3.

TL;DR - rival feed mission give better card than collections.

I’ll continue with collections just because I’d rather play with Mantle, Biggio and Sheff than the FS. But I’m in the same dilemma OP. I have 220k saved and have just 6 teams to finish. Since I made it this high, I figured I’d wait out until I have enough for Trout. But I wonder if/when these high diamonds might drop to a more doable price. Does Trout get back to 200-225k? Does Cole get back to 100k? What about Bellinger and Arenado?

Unfortunately I don’t think the prices are dropping. Like most years when lots of players start to get more stubs as the year goes on, the prices go up. It’s even more so now because people are using stimulus money to buy stubs. And once a stub sale hits, even more stubs go on the market and drive prices up even more. It’s always best to get cards as early in the year as possible before more stubs get put into the market and cause inflation

Markets always fluctuate. Stock market, real estate, and mlbts market. Prices will drop eventually.

I’ve been playing this game for years. The high end cards stay high end. Prices go up on cards like Trout and then they peak and stay at that price. Stub increase in the market causes prices to go up. As people play the game they get more stubs and it causes inflation. Also, when people quit the game after a couple months, which always happens, then the demand for cards go up because there are less people playing and less of said card being pulled out of packs. Less amount of said card on the market, plus influx of new stubs causing inflation, equals higher prices of cards.

As for right now, these TA cards a really good though. I did my homework before getting any of them and I can tell you Dodgers, Angels, Indians, and Rays FS’s are really good.

I’m sure there are others too. But I can vouch for all four of these.

You are also a dodgers fan so your expectations are already low. Ranked seasons is a dumpster fire

Yeah Marsh is a monster!! I have like 5 HRs with him in 4 games. The other I really like is Brujan for the Rays TA. He is so good man.

Just go after whatever cards you want. Anyone who gets 100% completion on this game either has a deep bank account or a good divorce lawyer. It’s not designed for full completion. If you want Mantle, Biggio, Sheffield, the prices will fluctuate. If you don’t feel like going after all the FS, don’t worry about it. Judging from thus far, there are plenty more cards to come.

that's what I am most excited about, yea these FS cards have high ratings, just means even better bosses and cards to come IMO.

I love the diversity and I probably won’t go after half these cards in any serious way.

I would like the record to show that I started typing out Bone Thugz N Harmony lyrics, but was afraid it’d go unnoticed.
