I like the future stars/prospect concept
I think its cool that some of the young prospects from around the league get some recognition and become usable in the game. I wouldn't know 3/4 of these guys if not for these cards and I'm sure others wouldn't either. I don't care that their stats are boosted. Its fun to use young players from your favorite team and it gives some more variety to peoples' lineups. I also have some players to look out for when (if) baseball comes back like Casey Mize, Adley Rutschman, and Forrest Whitley (some of my favorite prospect cards).
Could SDS have implemented it better? Sure. I wish they didn't reuse prospect players for future stars cards. The fact that the event is 6 innings despite there being only 1 prospect reliever is just dumb. And I can see why people are upset that team affinity stage 2 gives future stars as a reward. Some of the cards that were released just aren't that good
But overall, I love the concept and I think people are taking it all a little too seriously. The legend cards will come, just enjoy the fact that we have more options to choose from

To quote the fictional infamous Nazi Hans Landa, "That's a bingo!"
I feel like the FS cards should've come before FotF...but the fact that we're getting all this content is fun.
More choices=more lineup diversity, which means we're not ALWAYS playing against the same 9 players. That frustration has already reared its head with HW Kluber.
Are they unrealistic? Absolutely. But it's a video game...I'm not going to let that stand in the way of enjoying them and learning about players from other teams I can keep an eye out for in the future when baseball is a real thing again.

id rather use a guy like Clark Schmidt and become excited for him to make it to the show than use the same legend cards ive used three years in a row
-
The lineup diversity is fun, no doubt, but people debating benching trout for a prospect is just kind of crazy

Idk if any of the prospects/future stars will be on Trout's level, but I see what you mean. However there's no doubt Trout will have a 99 at some point. Personally I don't have a problem with benching a good live series card for a future stars card, but I can understand why some do. Some people want strictly realism when it comes to cards, but I don't mind the idea of "fantasy" cards. At least there's no Pepe Alazar anymore
-
I'm fine with it.
It's not like these cards kill LS usefulness, LS were made irrelevant a long time ago.
-
These cards are a breathe of fresh air to be honest.
-
I just wish they would have called these new cards Series 4 of “Prospects” rather than trying to pass them off as Future Stars cards. For the Sox, Dane Dunning deserves a Prospect card, not a FS. And these prospects are taking the FS cards away from deserving guys like Eloy Jimenez.

Didn't Eloy have a FS last year?

Yes, and everyone is using the Robles FS card without complaints. Ya'll are funny. Did you complain about FS high diamonds in past years too?
-
People would be complaining even more if they dropped a TA part 2 with 86-89 overall prospects and about how most of them are unusable on most teams.
But at the same time, this was the perfect opportunity for a wave of 90-95 overall legends for every team and probably a lot of newly licensed guys.

Yes, which made sense because, like all the other FS guys last year, he had at least appeared on an actual MLB roster at that point. So he was transitioning out of the “prospect” phase and into the “future star” phase. I can’t remember all the FS cards from last year, but Vlad got a FotF card this year so he doesn’t need another FS. I just want Eloy to have a usable card. His LS hasn’t made a roster since launch.

I agree 100%. Some of the TA rewards aren't great (looking at the Blue Jays), but they are still fun to use if you're a fan of the team. And now is the time to release these players and have them still be usable

I’m just a fan of interesting baseball players. I don’t need to be a fan of the team to appreciate a player.
My lineup consists of Royce Lewis, Jarred Kelenic, Acuna, Albies, Moncada, Wander Franco, Bo Bichette, Joey Bart and prospect pitchers.
-
I just find it annoying that unless we get TWO diamonds which I do not see happening. We will need to wait all the way till “summer” for flashback/legends we can normally grind for day 1. On top of that, if I like a player on a team who’s cards I’m not after right now like the giants, I’ll need to collect 120 points before I can begin it.
-
Most of these prospects won’t sniff a mob roster this year , and half of the future stars won’t either other than Brief call ups...
-
More content guys! Stop whining and buy headliner packs. Game is playing great!

I'll be the first to say that the game plays awful right now, especially on all star difficulty. HOF is slightly better but its nearly unplayable right now with how bad fielding is. I was just saying how I felt about future stars since I see most people don't like the idea
