Ball speeds and different pitchers

So I’m not sure exactly how this works, but I have noticed that certain pitchers the ball just explodes from their hand and appears much faster than other people with faster FB’s. For instance I just faced Blake snell and I could not catch up to his 93-96 mph fastball, it was like it got released and was past me, I could not time it up. Even when I knew when and where it was going I would be so late I missed it entirely or just barely fouled it off.
I don’t have trouble hitting fastballs, I hunt them so I couldn’t make sense of it. I thought the delivery, but time from release, to time to swing there was just less of a window than other pitchers, it wasn’t the delivery. He brought in lee smith and then Nolan Ryan in relief as he thought I could not catch up to fastball and was throwing 100-101 with both of them. I was getting perfect/perfect and ended up coming back to win the game.
How is 93-97 from snell faster than 100 from smith and Ryan? Anyone experience this

Yes, Ohtani is another one. Certain deliveries are glitched this year, it's causing a lot of weird timing issues. This won't be fixed, so just adjust and be aware of it.

Cole Hamels and Robbie Ray have a delivery like that, as for Whitey Ford(last year) and Kershaw.it is cause they slow down right before release and then speed up and release real quick, ball seems to be 5-10 mph faster than it is. it's a perception thing.

Is it just me though or does Snell release looks super glitched out. It takes me 3 innings just to figure out the arm angle.

Yeah I faced Snell during a moment (I think?) and his fastball was so fast. I just waited for his other pitches.

I think it's perception, your eyes register the slow down, then rush to catch up with the sudden movement, if you've watched any nature shows , it's the same thing ambush predators do.

I think it's perception, your eyes register the slow down, then rush to catch up with the sudden movement, if you've watched any nature shows , it's the same thing ambush predators do.
But does some tech savvy fellow have the ability to time snell FB from time of release to glove compared to someone throwing 100? I’d like to know on a MS level if it’s deception or a glitch
