I've seen people claim they haven't gotten Santana when they're at 100%. They haven't proven it though so take it for what it's worth.

I did not try one time.

Dq is just not worth my time with no guaranteed reward.

Since byson stott hovers around 50-60k for the past few months that's telling me not a lot of people are utilizing this mode after the first month or two.

Its not a terrible thing but nothing worse than being successful for an hour and having nothing to show for it.

I remember a few months ago I just kept repeating the conquest mlb draft map bc of the reward guarantee

I actually think the mode is kind of cool in that it incorporates showdowns, conquests, and moments all into one.

The gambling that goes with getting the card... not cool.

The mystery spaces that are negatives...why? I literally didn't do anything to deserve a penalty.

Of course I went back to DQ to try and get Kenley get up to 59% for HOF and my my game gets an error and crashes now I'm at 52 % because when I loaded back in it said that I failed the previous mission and it counted as a loss of 7%, this has happened more than once in DQ this year and they need to fix it especially in this new one

    Thanks for all the replies.

For those still going, hope you get him, but you're a better man than I.

I'll just put the controller down for a bit, play something else and come back when new programs/spooky updates come.

Guess I should consider myself lucky. Got Jansen first try at around 50% on All Star. Quit so I wouldn't lose him. Started again and beat first two stadiums (did not get the Chase Pack). Then got Santana, again at around 50% playing on All Star.

    @SayHeyKid_SF_PSN That's awesome, dude.

The more people that get him, the better.
    Hope you enjoy.

I kind of feel bad saying I got them both on my first try. 47% for Jansen and 59% for Santana on All-Star.
Only the second DQ I played all year (did the first one with Soto/Judge cards).

Same I got it both times: one on 90%, the other on 100%. It was on GOAT though.

Does bunting actually work on GOAT? I got Kenley after winning 1-0 on GOAT on Day 1. Now I need to get Santana and GOAT is 96%. I figured I'd try it out on GOAT again but want to try a bunt-SH hybrid team. Whenever I try to drag bunt vs CPU though it's probably a ball 80% of the time. Regular bunts are often balls but I can pull back on those (and often get HBPs).

My view is that the entire concept is ridiculous. I grew up thinking that the purpose of video games was to provide entertainment. Well, if the experience is filled with frustration and bitterness, then that doesn't meet my definition of entertainment.

Folks, let's go old school here. Each of you paid your hard earned money to purchase a video game to have fun. If you're not having fun, then the money is wasted. Worse, if the experience leaves you drained, angry, and frustrated, then you have actually paid your hard earned money to a company to get a dose of abuse.

Does that make sense to anyone?

Moreover, does it make good sense that any company would release a game that puts their paying customers into such a "hurt locker?"

I know a myriad of valid reasons why people sometimes have to take risks, sometimes have to endure hardships, to get an important job done. I was in the military for 29 years so believe me, I get it! But, those are professional duties. Playing a video game is supposed to be fun.

Way too many people, and sadly way too many video game companies have lost their way on that truth!

Even in videogames you can challenge yourself and have fun doing it. Of course if it doesn't bring you any fun then just don't do it. No one put you into "hurt locker", just ignore the program and have fun playing different programs/modes, this program is clearly not for you and that's fine!

This year's extreme program was the first one that I attempted since 19. I am offline only veteran difficulty enjoyer and extreme made me challenge myself and I had lot of fun seeing how I am improving every single game playing on HOF/Legend.

And I also understand that there is lot of people that don't like "locking cards behind something that most people will not do because they can't or just simply don't enjoy" I would not be surprised if they add new easier ways how to earn points in extreme in like 1-2 months so I believe everyone will get their Elly eventually

I know if I tried to get Elly and actually did it after going through this crazy gauntlet i'd end up going like 1 for 82 with him.

Logical people can parse a clear distinction between challenge and extreme frustration. I think you can also. Just seems you cannot bring yourself to accept a simple and valid concept, but instead find disagreement.

Can you accept that I enjoyed the program and did not feel extreme frustration? It is simple and valid concept for logical person like you, no?

All players are not the same players.

    • Some people enjoy the challenge of Dark Souls games and others don't.
    • Some people enjoy turn based RPG's others don't.*
    • Some people enjoy games like Power Wash Simulator others don't
    • Some people enjoy difficult puzzle games others don't.

The same goes for programs in MLB the show. None of us are the universal filter for what is fun or enjoyable for others. I have no doubt that there are people who truly enjoyed either the process of playing the Extreme Program or enjoyed the feeling of accomplishment.

In the end SDS will make the decision based on feedback and engagement in the program.
