Does anyone have the sequence of pitchers your facing on this mode?
-
Think its. 1. Durran 2. Jimenez 3. Wagner 4. Bautista 5. Oday 6. Randy 7. Lieter 8. Kenley 9 donaldson. 10 clemens. Not at home so that list is just from memory please forgive if incorrect.

Can anyone just do it for me lol

Another question: any tips for the showdown? Is bunting the way to go?
-
@TheBigPapa55_PSN i went through it . I beat the first 4 bosses , then i couldn't beat oday because oday is only 3 outs . Lost to everyone else except donaldson . Entered clemens needing 15 runs and i scored 9 .
All that to say run through it and pick up tendencies. For example Clemens was like 80 % fastballs .
Nect time i face Clemens i know to sit on FB .
And yes draft speed and bunting when possible. -
For oday i had buxton on the bench and pinch ran him for the player starting on 1st. Stole 2nd on 1st pitch. Stole 3rd on 2nd pitch then i had 2 outs to get sack fly.

My issue is excessive double plays and hard hit balls dying at the track regardless of exit velo boost. It’s ridiculous.

I completed this Showdown on my second try and went 9 of 10. I was able to beat Clemons by making him throw a lot of pitches. Basically, I drafted a lot of lefties, sit my PCI middle center, and waited for a middle-high fastball to crush. I had about 15 outs left when Clemons was almost out of energy and his pitches became more flat and only topped out at 99-100 mph. This is when I did most of my damage and scored the final four runs I needed with around 10 outs to go.I used this strategy for all the Pitchers except for O'Day. For him, I sit my PCI low. I was able to get a hit and immediately subbed him for a speed guy off the bench. Then I stole 2nd and 3rd and used contact swing to knock in my runner from 3rd.
- I recommend having a couple of speed guys on the bench to sub in for slower runners on base. There are too many instances where you will hit into a double play... so stealing 2nd is important when you only need a run or two with just a few outs remaining.

@xElRojo44x_MLBTS the game just glitches some sort of [censored] miracle everytime I’ve gotten close. Il either hit into a double play or my bunt will pop up in the air or my perfect perfect will go foul. I can go on and on and on with the extreme issues I’ve faced on this showdown. Make the showdown hard by making the opponent better. Dont make it hard but not rewarding good input. I’ve hit so many god [censored] perfect perfect double plays now I’m ready to just give up. My post about Donaldson was comical. Needed one bunt with 4 outs left. Couldn’t make it happen and the player paused or glitched while running to the bag even though he was 99 speed and steal. It was too funny.

Sounds about right, it was brutal. I had to take a break and walk away after every couple of matches or my eyes would start crossing. ...If I can do it, then you can. Just be patient, work counts, look for your pitch, and take one match at a time. The Ai Pitchers will eventually make mistakes.BTW: Go directly to Clemons, and practice a couple of times. Keep note of how many runs you can score against him and that will show you how many henchmen points you will need to acquire. After my first go around, I failed but was still able to tag 11 runs on Clemons. When I did the Showdown the second time, I only needed 7 or 8 runs when I got to Clemons, and so I knew that I could get that if I was patient.

The thing that boggles my mind is... at no point EVER should this 99 Buxton EVER be picked off, but it just so happens that he does.
