Remember why I quit
-
Decided past couple of days to give the game a try again after taking a step back for about a month or so and the game is flat [censored] atrocious and underdeveloped, unfinished, and theft to charge full price. I decided to try some other games and the online play on other games is just so much more smooth with a much better overall experience!
Get in a server on mlb the show and goodluck with “swing under water” as I heard earlier or pool noodle swings. Sometimes this game seems to award bad connections. Swing timing since I’ve come back on this game feels severely delayed and the servers feel even worse. This game should not be competitive or even be in the green revenue wise with the lack of development that goes into it.
I’ve played a couple matches and all of them I have experienced extreme lag, baserunning delays, pause timer delays, input lag and you name it so much that sometimes I can’t even see my or my opponents swing it just warps. It feels impossible to place like this and nothing about it is remotely fun. Ultimately you end up losing to someone that’s quite inferior to you. If you happen to pull the win out, ur timing is all screwed up due to inconsistencies across the board.
This should be a dying franchise with the lack of funding put into servers and the lack of development once again. This game should not be how we represent baseball in the simulation or gaming world. If SDS has pulled in so much revenue where is our money going because it certainly isn’t going into current or future development. You have a completely broken batting system and ur RNG whether in favor or not takes over the competitiveness and it’s just flat [censored] dumb.
Being that I was finally able to quit for a month and gained some clarity by doing so I think 25’ will be my last MLBTS that I purchase because giving them anymore of my money for an “update” in the wrong direction feels like I’m just being taken advantage of -
Black...Positive Revenue would be in the Black.

You only took a 2 week break.

MLB the show is primarily an offline game. Even DD, which is just one portion of the game, is just a mode that has optional online play.
You look like a complete idiot when you say stuff like 'theft to charge full price' so why would SDS bother to read further?
Online play is probably the least important aspect of MLB The Show when you take a step back and look at the big picture. Yes it could be improved but you don't help the cause with this sort of post.

@SaveFarris_PSN
Don’t be foolish. Others live in my loft as well. I’m not hear to argue with a bunch of goobers move on if you don’t have anything constructive to say -
@GixxerRyder750_PSN Thanks Wolf ! Tell Margo Robbie I said hello.

hmmm

@RAisEdByGoAt_XBL So you still suck after 2 weeks? Got it....
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS if anyone wants to chime in I would love to know if offline is the primary mode because one would assume what little bit of investing in the game they've accomplished would certainly go into their most competitive mode no ? And online or not most of us have to restart the [censored] game every half hour getting stuck in menus so quit sucking SDS’s thumb and move on

@LIONED-33_XBL Got me Bud!

The game is great, for what it is. Sure I could get upset, act like I don’t care, and go on to type a 750 word comment in the community forum. At the end of the day, it’s just not that important to me (and 98.999%) of the people who play this game. Sure online can lag, timing windows can be inconsistent, and fluky things can happen. It just doesn’t affect me in any way. I laugh at it, go outside, have other hobbies, and spend time with my daughter and do the things she enjoys. I don’t stream it for a living, nor I’m I playing 8+ hours a day to become a top 500 rated goon.
I think some people would really benefit from that mentality. The amount of 500+ word essays I see posted on here about lag, perfect perfect outs, same side matchup PCI shrinkage, RNG, etc is just so funny to me. It’s a video GAME, this time next year no one will care or remember what your online Ranked record is. Just have fun and if something doesn’t go your way, just laugh it off and play another game.
Life is too short for you guys to be getting this upset over virtual baseball

@Auburn2525_XBL while I agree with the majority of what you said, you can’t come on here and criticize me typing up a “750 word paragraph when you took the time out of your day to do merrily the same. You are disregarding the issues that we paid full price for and chalking it up to the “go touch grass” slogan. I make a good living and am plenty athletic. I can have my frustrations and still maintain the lifestyle I want. Thank you for your time

I agree with you most of my play is DD offline. I may play 2 or 3 games a week online. I love the grind, players, packs and stubs. Typically I find Friday through Sunday evenings/nights are the worse time to play online. The few times I do play online it usually will be Monday-Wednesday evenings, Saturday and Sunday morning and early afternoons. Much better playing experience during those times. Most of the time though I'm grinding offline.
