We all know its there. Every big time streamer also is saying its there. Online players want to play competitive games where better inputs and play matter. We dont want to be favored in a game and for everything to go our way. We sure as heck do not want to be on the opposite end of that either. Not sure why you all added so much of this so called rng this year? To keep more people engaged perhaps.. I dont know. But its definitely there.

Is it rng or is it maybe something else, like connections and lag?
I can only speak to single player experience, but from the beginning of the year with lesser cards to now with high contact/vision/power cards I am seeing a lot less random and a lot more consistency. the mechanics would be the same for both single player and multiplayer,so I wonder how much of it is rng and how much of it is connection issues or lag?

It's both. The game cannot be about skill only, it's a sports game and statistics driven using players with ratings designed to make them play like their real life counterparts. RNG is 💯 necessary in a sports game like rolling dice. That said they can tune these things better than they do.

Connection and lag are a bigger culprit in online vs games. The best player in the world with a garbage connection will lose to a mediocre player with a great connection most of the time.

@Pergo_MLBTS I lose all the time I dont care about losing. Losing is part of life in general. You cannot get better if you do not lose. Its the way you lose certain games within this particular game is the issue. Even Jordan lost games and missed game winning shots. You are speaking to the wrong person. Nice try though buddy on coming on here thinking you can try and down play what im saying.

I love how you don't even realize you just proved my point for me.

    That NEVER happens in baseball.

A historically awful team beating the best team in baseball? NEVER!!!!!!!!

I think there is an augment for both RNG and connection issues being the culprit. I know the RNG because it’s right in ur face when u play. If I’m up on someone and the game for whatever reason chooses I suddenly lose exit velos, can’t pitch or hit my pitches, start making silly defensive errors and most of all and which is worse this year than ever… dink hits start happening against me left and right. With that being said I’ve played some top rated players. And the same has gone in my favor. My pci isn’t even near the ball and suddenly I have 4 consecutive dink hits out of nowhere. To act oblivious to this is just silly. And likely just coming on here to argue with people looking for answers.

@RAisEdByGoAt_XBL to piggy back even more off what you just said. You ever notice when you are batting how sometimes the pitch speeds feel like 120 mph and you are late on every swing no matter what you do. That has to be a connection server thing or possibly rng as well. Or maybe they turned up pitching sliders for online play this year to say the least. You literally have to custom practice on legend in offline play just to equal pitch speeds on all star play online. I believe its a combination of all three. Pitching sliders are raised, connection server issues and rng. Sds made hitting harder this year im 100 percent convinced of at least that. For what reason im not sure. But its making the game less fun. Its not my connection. I have top of the line internet speeds and am hard wired in every possible place.
