I’d have to Agree with pretty much everything you’ve said my biggest thing is also the exit below and consistency of what it should be and what an out should be. I understand everyone’s argument consistently is going to be power creep, power creep, power creep. You don’t have 99 That’s why you can’t hit the ball if this is supposed to be a baseball Sim and I use SIM very loosely here why is it that legitimate baseball players that we have live series cards of can’t duplicate hits they would get in real life using the same exit velo that they can produce in real life. Saying that you need to have 99s with 125 power 125 contact in order to get hits and not have balls dying in the outfield is kind of a pathetic argument.

Completely agree. When a perfect perfect with over 100 power ends up a routine fly ball eyebrows should be raised. If you want sim baseball play franchise. Diamond dynasty is pure fantasy and should play more based on input than RNG. If my outfield can have Max Clark and Babe Ruth realism kinda goes out the door.

Hitting this year is the worst it’s EVER been. It rewards the terrible players. People are getting tip balls off balls that hit the ground before it hits the zone. It needs to be fixed asap or it will be the same terrible game that people will stop playing after may.

I don’t understand how I’m hitting perfect perfects on fast balls with a 125 power hitting card and they aren’t even going out of the park. I mean like what the [censored]. On top of that the amount of perfects that I have gotten and they just get caught anyways. Then I see my opponent just get a [censored] hit and just be safe or out of the park lol.

    My complaints are.

Pipeline Past program should've dropped earlier that it was, it would've been recieved better by the time they dropped that program people already had better cards.

Gameplay engine. All sports games suffer from legacy code. This is why sports gamers complain about copy/paste it seems like we're playing the same game every year with the same graphics and the same gameplay problems like pitching wall and cpu playing above their attributes. I'm not saying I need to beat the cpu 28-0 every game but the cpu needs to make the same mistakes I do when fielding. If I'm using a LS player with bronze defense because of weak reaction, arm strength and accuracy then the same cpu counterpart shouldn't be turning into prime Willie Mays or George Brett. If a pitcher takes a batted ball 100 mph+ off his head he should come out the game just like irl. Instead we have pitchers taking head shots like COD bullet sponges and bouncing back up.

    @iCrealKiller_PSN

I'm having the same issue brother since the show 23. My opponents hits an easy home run with player with less than 95 power but even if I time up the pith correctly and green it with a player of 100 plus power it ends in a fly out. I have told support already multiple times...

This franchise has gotten progressively worse. I gave up on the franchise back in '23 as I only play online rated. I've come to the realization that those who pay to play have more overall success then those gamers that don't invest in cards or anything pertaining to paying, regardless of skill level. I have 100's of unopened cards from every version of The Show as I do not care for DD. Aside from that I have never in my years of playing the show have I seen more unrealistic contact than in this year's version. It's become laughable. Throwing sliders way out of the strike zone, boarder line passed pitches are being fouled off. Bouncing a sinker, fouled off. Fastball neck high, fouled off. Fastball in on the hands, fouled off. To double down on this if the ball is put in play these AB's end up resulting in bloop or seeing eye singles. Specially against low ranking opponents. These inconsistencies are just the tip of the iceberg. I can no longer play competitively as every game I play has literally become a coin toss. I was a highly ranked top 20-50 player. Now, I am in the 1700's. I know for a fact that I am not the only 1. But, like anything else the franchise will go on with or without me and bad players will continue to benefit from these inconsistencies "handicap" meanwhile San Diego Studios will keep laughing their way to the bank. it's disheartening but true. I'm part of a circle of really good players. However, in the last 3 years this franchise has tanked and I don't see no fix or update in sight. 3 years ladies and gentlemen of playing the same recycled game with little cosmetic additions and no real fix to online game play.

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN said in my complaints about mlb 25 the show so far:

@Rhyno1986_XBL said in my complaints about mlb 25 the show so far:

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN they said it on the live stream in 23 and then when people quoted them they took the stream down. Just like they said pitching wasn't an issue and foul balls are working as intended. If they just admit there are problems they look better. But hey I get you probably work for them and are trying to defend them. But just admit that stuff is bugged and stop saying it's fine.

    1. Where did i say everything was fine? I just asked a simple question. And i still call [censored] because you can't provide proof. If that was actually said, people in here who watch every stream would be quoting that every single time they get a perfect/perfect lineout to 3rd.

    2. Why is the only thing people like you can say is "you must work for them"? I dont.

    3. Maybe you're just trash at the game.

Yep trash player who has finished WC in Gold 2 5-1 all 3 times over here.

Wow, did you just necro bump this thread and reply to a post from 3 1/2 months ago simply to brag about your WC records?

The CPU really does seem to actively undermine your attempts at winning in an underhanded way. I was playing a game and had a man on third and first, hit a fly ball that I was waiting to be caught so that my guy could tag up and both base runners just immediately take off so that i have to try to send them back to the bag so that they could take up and of course this leads to both of them getting picked off for an inning ending double play. Then in the same game I substituted a speedy pinch runner to first and the following batter hit a ball to the outfield that I was pretty sure would be caught so I proceeded to send my runner back to the bag so that he could tag up to take second, but incredibly the outfielder let the ball drop in front of him so that he could just pick off my guy at second for a force out. It was ludicrous and would never happen in a real game. Furthermore, no matter how I smash line drives, I can never seem to hit more than a single, and then if I get consecutive hits it's just station to station advancement of my runners on base, with no chance of the runner taking an extra base and advancing to third. Then what happens in nearly every inning of every game, the next batter will smash hit into a double play right at the fielder so that I'm left with a runner on third and two outs. This happens repeatedly. Also, no one seems able to bunt. If I get a runner on and seek to advance him, the next batter will almost certainly bunt a pop up, sometimes to a middle infielder, and then I have one out with a runner on first, and in games that the CPU doesn't want you to win the next batter will almost certainly hit into a double play. I average about 5 or 6 DP's a game.

If you use timing you will absolutely hit into a metric [censored]-ton of double plays vs CPU. If you use zone you can control that, but the balance is off for timing for sure.

I use timing because its the best way to avoid HR derby nonsense, but its certainly nerfed a little from last year. To be honest its probably fine. Veteran in 2025 is equivalent too all star in 2024, if not "harder" (less easy?)

They also made CPUs use their better bullpen pitchers more often if the game is tied.
