Not a Complaint, But I'm Just Curious

5 out of last 7 opponents I believe had the World Series icon and I'm only in Division Series. Before my last seven games another 3 of them in the recent past also were World Series players. It's a little odd to see so many playing on All-Star. I'm not complaining because you get great competition, but why so many?

Maybe because more ppl have it this year due to the lower requirements … and like every season most of them start at 700 and go late to make it to higher divisions for the weekend classic (while also going world series again)

Just speculation on my part, because I fell short of it myself, but if you hit 800 through Weekend Classic, do they give you a badge? I was thinking this is the case, because not only are there more, they're easier to beat.

Its very easy to get to world series without ever playing any games on HOF. In the Weekend Classic you can play in Silver II in the high 600 hundreds and just get over 100+ in rating change and get WS icon. You always play on All-Star this way without ever jumping up to HOF. I think many have done that to be honest.
I noticed this when I played a bunch on silver 2 this last WC. I am usually in Gold II and Diamond. These WS icon players weren't all that great and was initially surprised by their skill level having a hard time score even 5-6 runs on all-star.

Don’t forget all those who got WS badges through the COOP quit glitch earlier in the year

Yes, they do.
