RTTS is completely broken in The Show 25 – what's going on?
-
I created a new two-way player on Beginner difficulty, an absolute beast with over 150 home runs, ranked #1 MLB prospect and #1 team prospect. Despite all that, every time the coach tells me I’m “not ready for AAA.” Even during the postseason, the big league staff comes to check me out and say I am ready for promotion and then… nothing.
At one point, I got a random “challenge” popup between a batter and pitcher, showing me as the pitcher, even though I was in the field. That’s when I realized something is seriously bugged.
I’m clearly top-tier, tearing through the minors, but I just stay stuck in MiLB as if nothing happened. Still listed as the #1 MLB prospect, even into the next season. Midway through that second season? Still “not ready for AAA.” What the hell?
This mode is seriously messed up in The Show 25. The logic is broken, the bugs are everywhere, and honestly, RTTS was way better in The Show 24. Extremely disappointing.

I logged in to play RTTS last night — all gone. 173 hours of gameplay - gone. But, the other game modes such as storeyline has my data. Still got all my equipment too. My ballplayer just vanished.

Two way player usually means you're a SP first. How high is your SP ovr? I'm usually in the 70s when promoted. If you're concentrating on your position player side and not putting points into your pitcher, you will not show as being ready to promote. You can change to be a position player first when when you speak to your agent (or manager) about division of duties. (I think that's what it's called) As a pitcher, if you're only improving the pitches and not the base stats of the pitcher (H/9, K/9, etc...) your SP ovr will not improve. You have to have good results and a good ovr to get promoted.

Yeah the game mode is messed up just got promoted then quit without saving took me back to the point where the cutscene of the coach telling me I’m getting promoted should have happened and it’s not. I’m not getting promoted I have to keep playing again -
These are definitely problems. This game seems to be scripted too. Every time an RTTS pitches, gets zero run support. Going 0-4 on 4 hits at over 100mph. Perfect swings for 112 mph outs. Also the AI management is messed up, my AAA teammate at Iowa Cubs is LHP Justin Steele. Been there all season, has ERA around 2.00, is the ace of the Cubs the past 2 seasons. But not good enough (rating 80+) to make the big leagues in 2025.
This game is straight garbage. Been playing for years and it literally gets worse every year.
Pretty much like every sports game in existence. It's like the geniuses creating these games never actually played sports or bothered to learn anything about them.
Just really tired of playing unrealistic glitch riddled, scripted BS.
Do better, game devs! -
The only thing I've come across is Two-way Players are the only ones that have to go through the AAA. I've gotten a standard Right Fielder and Starting Pitcher each to The Show Right after AA at the start of May. But never had an issue advancing because I try to build up the tools that boost the player's overall. Also, just noticed in my second season with one of my Pitchers that they no longer do the end of the month evaluation that gives double XP for x amount of games.

@Frankdatruetank_XBL odd both of my two way players went straight to the majors from AA
