Question on PCI
-
The inner pci with the three circles has different configurations.
Small circle, medium circle and large circle.
Im assuming the large circle is where the player hits better right?
Do any of you use this to your advantage?
Usually its from top to bottom, large , medium, small.
But sometimes its small large medium or medium large small.
I don't think I've ever seen small medium large.
Anyways my main question is what does it mean and should my approach change with the configuration? -
I've been trying to figure that out my self since I started using zone a few weeks ago

High is power/lift, middle is balanced and low is grounders. So if you have a low power high contact guy, it will be small/medium/large, or if he’s low contact, high power, l/m/s.
That’s where you want to put the ball on the PCI to play to the hitter’s strengths.

@yankblan_PSN . Thank you for explaining that I really appreciate it,I'm still learning zone but seem to be getting better

@yankblan_PSN ok , but why does it change for different pitcher , sometimes the same batter will have a different configuration with a different pitcher.
Is the large circle the ideal spot to hit the ball? -
@jaychvz_XBL depends; middle is the “sweet spot”, but if you have a power hitter and want to hit a fly ball for a HR, then try to align the top dot on the ball.
The center dots will shrink/enlarge proportionally with the inner PCI depending on the pitcher’s H/9 and K/9 ratings.

@yankblan_PSN thanks
