100 Runs

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN Maybe it will be part of drop 2. Hopefully not.

100 runs is, in fact, patently ridiculous as a number to hit. It's an enormous amount of time to sink into online play. I agree with the original poster. If I'm in a game where I am hitting well, and, say am on course to score 10 runs the player usually quits before I can get anywhere near that. Normally, I score between 2-4 runs a game. Some games I get shut out, others I might score 5 or 6. But the average is probably 3. So, yeah, this milestone is nuts.

They’ll add a moonshot event once a program, seems to be the trend, take advantage when it comes.

I don't play multiplayer but this ties into one of my issues with the programs this year, specifically HR stat missions.
Looking at the My Journey missions I am only averaging about 1 HR per 3.5 innings played, mostly with my Cardinals Theme team. Looking at the Sosa program, one of the stat missions is 20 HRs with cubs. I only have 4 Diamond Cub players with 85 Sammy Sosa and live series Kyle Tucker being the only two with any actual power. Even if I keep up the pace I have so far with only those players then that is over 60 innings played. 60 innings of playing with players I don't care about to complete a single mission.
I have grown weary over the last few years of seemingly never playing with the players I want to use because I am constantly subbing in players I don't care about simply to complete missions.

I am kind of OK with this for the Sosa program specifically. Its a unique program for a special event, in effect its a long form of a moment. But they really should have given a 90 Sosa to start with.
In general there is too much nonsense like '30 hits with Rangers, but this program doesnt give you any Rangers until after you finish it'
Make the goals at least centered around cards that are earned earlier in the program, with some repeatable pxp options for those that don't want to use every card.

Buy the Schwarber, get 20 homers then sell him if you need the stubs.
-
TN Kelly,TN Ballesteros, AS Rizzo, MS Busch, Ryno, Bryant, LS Tucker all have 80+ pwr vs R, and TN Workman( 78 PvR)
and the low diamond Sosa
many options to get 20 HR with -
I need 8 more HRs with Cubs then I'm all caught up on the program, the Kyle Tucker LS card is cracked hits every thing out of the ballpark

I have 3 of those 8 and am not chasing or buying the others for the program.
It is not about any specific program but any of the stat programs that assume I have everything and can easily build a team of power hitters for example from any of the 30 MLB teams.
Or, as in the original posters point, 100 runs for a single mission (150 for part 1 and 2). Since I don't play online and am not great I would never get that done. Even if I could average 5 runs per 9 inning game it would take 30 games (or 270 innings) to get all 150. I know it is a long term mission but even that is a lot, especially if you also try and keep up with the offline missions.

It's actually 100 total. You get points for the first 50, then points when you get 100 total.
It's still a lot, though.
At least I think that's the way it is...

So I tapped out of this online season at 44 runs.
Got everything else done besides the 100 hits and 200 TB (though Im at 180)Its just not fun knowing that low scoring games contribute virtually nothing towards the track and I feel too heavily penalized for playing with cards I want to play with
