playing the game solely offline

God I wish there was a Ssasons mode for offline players. Mini Seasons is fine but it’s also kinda dumb lol, Know what I mean? Like I’d like a mini seasons but with real MLB teams. Hell, Offer 28 game seasons up to 162 game seasons.

@TheGoaler_PSN i never play vs live competition. There is a lot of content and programs offline, that live isnt needed. For me anyways. Plus, i see the rewards and its not even worth it
-
@GreyGodG594791_XBL I used to only play offline. I got a lot better at the game when I started playing online.
-
I honestly have fallen asleep playing offlline. It is beyond boring.
-
The majority of DD players prefer online based on past reddit polls I've seen
You would be surprised though, there are very likely players worse than you online
I use timing online and struggle with patience, yet I've been as high as 665 without caring about my rank.
But I only play online to complete the ranked track, if I feel its reasonable. Likely sitting out this inning.

I’m a primarily offline player. I’ve hoped on events and WC. I’m nowhere near my WS days of a few years back, but I played some really bad players who don’t know the game. It’s pretty easy to beat them. You just play ball, and if you run into a cheesy player, just quit. Events is a great way to dip your toe into the online pool, they are three inning games and I run into less sweaty guys there.

@GreyGodG594791_XBL I was strictly offline for the last 4 years. I loved RTTS and dabbled a bit in Franchise. I enjoyed it. It was mindless fun to go bash some dingers and try to improve my player. I'm an older guy and I was always very intimidated at the thought of getting online and getting embarrassed and just being trash.
I got back into baseball cards about a year ago and collecting in Diamond Dynasty scratched that collector's itch a bit and I was enjoying building my collections and doing a bit of card flipping. After building a roster and playing all the modes I realized I was missing out on a lot of XP and potential pack rewards by not being online so I just decided to jump in on some 3 inning events one weekend.
I hit the very first pitch I saw in online play over the left field wall. I was in shock. Now... after that hit the guy proceeded to no hit me for 3 innings and beat me 7-1 and I lost the next game 3-2 in the bottom of the 3rd but at no point did I feel like I was way out of my element.
I've since played a handful of games in ranked... I think I might be 4-2 and a bunch of 3 innings games.
Long story short.... the multiplayer/online mode for me anyway adds a lot of enjoyment and it's much more fun and exciting. I recommend you give it a go. You may find there are a lot of folks out there like you and I who will never sniff the high ranks but just enjoy competing online.
GOOD LUCK!

I only play offline. I'm garbage at the game and I admit that. I just don't see how online could be fun. I've watched the streamers play and it always looks so laggy and glitchy, not to mention the good players can get perfect perfects and hit home runs so often, even on pitches out of the zone.
I enjoy grinding out the program's with conquest, mini seasons and play vs CPU. I know I'll never get the best cards available but what do I need them for if I'm not playing online ranked?

I stopped playing online back during the Musial mission/collection (18? Sorry, don't remember exactly the year... believe it was same year as Nava shenanigans). I was ok, held my own but...it took a couple of games of folks being asses to ruin any fun I could have possibly had.
Wait, I may have fibbed...I did do a couple of co-op games with my son last year but quickly realized nothing had changed. So, never again.
As BlindRhino said, "beyond boring" but I'd rather be bored, playing my way, than deal with the crappy playing style of some of the gamers out there.
Strictly an offline grinder here

Playing offline is kinda like playing texas hold’em with play money , lacks excitement .Definetely prefer online but i still enjoy offline for grinding, just a less exciting mode imo.
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS That's assuming the majority of DD players are on Reddit though...

I play strictly offline as well. I just like to sit down, hit a few homers and open some packs. Very relaxing and very casual.
A couple of years ago, there was a program where you could play an inning or two online and get some Easter eggs. I thought I’d give it a try as you only needed to play, not win or anything.
I let the CPU field and run when I play. I did not know this wasn’t a feature of online play. You had to do it yourself.
You can imagine the “cluelessness” as I’m learning on the fly while playing an online game. (Cue Benny hill music).
I got my eggs and swore never to play online again.

Casual offline player here as well. As someone else noted, I started playing LONG before online play was possible so while I will occasionally take a stab for fun I really just do offline 99% of the time.
When I do play against someone I usually get spanked.
