CPU Manager Mound Visits - there are none
-
The CPU team never does a mound visit unless they are taking the pitcher out.
Regardless of whether the mound visits in the game are designed to calm pitchers down or boost energy, the CPU literally never does it. They should at least do a visit during a big inning or after 4+ consecutive hits, etc. Instead, they just sub the starter immediately. I can’t remember the last time an MLB subbed out their starter without at least 1 prior visit from the pitching coach.

That's true but I don't mind it because a mound visit can go in two directions. It can either boost confidence or lower confidence. If the CPU did mound visits they would likely always be perfect assuming the CPU is coded to know when to do one.
I have not seen it boost stamina.

Ever since MLB changed their rules to limit mound visits, we haven't seen mound visits in The Show. When we did, it was only once per game.

I use manage mode. I've never seen a CPU mound visit but for reasons I stated above I'm fine with that.

All fine points, perfect boost visits could be a drag after a while. Maybe it just speaks larger to the CPU bullpen management. I’m playing a franchise and am in early June and it’s just kind of silly to me to see the CPU pull their starter so quickly with them only having thrown like 60 pitches. I find while the CPU management has been better about pulling starters earlier it feels like all 162 are managed with the same intensity as the postseason. Sometimes guys just gotta eat innings.
Still even, maybe success rate on mound visits positively impacting the pitcher are determined by the quality of the pitching coach…? Would be neat to have the coaching staff mean something in this mode lol

One longstanding issue that still appears to exist in manage mode with DH off is the user controlled pitcher pitching around the 8 hitter when first base is open without the user telling the pitcher to do so. I can't look at code and prove it is happening but it's pretty clear as much as the 8 hitter on the CPU team walks that it's happening. It's frustrating in manage mode when I'm not paying close attention to what spot in the lineup is batting and the 8 hitter walks when he should be pitched to..

Would also be nice if some teams in franchise platooned more than others. I have teams (in my franchise) that are set to do switches but don’t use them or ever use that guy for clutch ABs when they are better vs that side with high clutch.
