Done with all the offline heavy grind
-
There is nothing wrong with the grind required it's the offline grind itself. It's the bizarre offline pitching and hitting that makes the grind feel monotonous and painful. If you've learned to be patient and weed through the 8 or more pitch at bats that see extremely wide pitches, dotted lines, and square up the one or maybe two hitable pitches you'll see per at bat, only to see 95% of them be low EV easy outs, screaming line drives right at an infielder, or be robbed by amazing diving catches. Every conquest game, every at bat, feels like watching the movie Ground Hog Day. IMO it's not the missions, it's not the cards, it's the game play.

Stop giving us free content with an easy grind while other games force you to pay money to keep a decent team. Man this OP has hit the crazy sauce. If you don’t like baseball play something else and if you like baseball try a different mode because DD isn’t for you.

I just downloaded Costco Park for the first time for my grinds and it made a huge difference for me.

Go into the message board for almost any game and see the same thing…..repetitive.

@Teak2112_MLBTS said in Done with all the offline heavy grind:
One thing that is missed is that for the last few years TA tended to come with a mini season and conquest maps.
They dont match up program drops with content to play during it as much, so we are resorting to grinding already completed mini seasons or conquests which definitely makes it feel more like a grind
This is my feeling 100%. I don't mind grinding at all, but I'd like a little more variety, especially around CQ maps. I applaud SDS giving us a repeatable map, but playing the Orioles, Pirates and Reds over and over and over... we need something more. DQ isn't really fun for me to repeat, as I can clear every single "mission", beat the Stadiums, and still not get a card (playing on All-Star, so yes, I understand statistics).

@Weshill627_PSN why do you have to grind it right now … Take your time … You do not need the All-Star-Voucher until July
But … for the sake of this thread: I would like to have more options. That could be more mini seasons/conquests

@DodgerMatt93_NSW All video games are repetitive to an extent...walk around shoot dudes...steal this car and drive from point a to b, etc...Dude thinks he's gonna turn on the game and play pinochle today and chutes and ladders tomorrow.

If it was up to me, we would be already in the MLB the show 21 content/grind structure. Play half an hour and get a program done type of grind.
By the way, you can try not playing the show for a few weeks to get a reset and then come back, I stopped it for like a month and Color storm brought me back and I’m enjoying it again.

I play offline only, so i can't complain at all about the grind. I still haven't done any of the USA 3-piece map, or 'Jester,' or 5 or more CC maps. I play HUT as well, so I'm trapped in the vortex of 2 Ultimate Team modes. I'm in trouble!
I did want to be a pro in the real NHL & MLB, so in a way I'm a 2-sport athlete, but with the 'X, O, □, and triangle' buttons 🤪 -
@Weshill627_PSN Maybe you’d be less stressed playing Online Rated?

@IrishFist412_MLBTS maybe you would

Can the grind get repetitive and boring at times? Yes it can. But it's baseball, there's not much else they can add to it. Could they change up the missions? Or add in progress through conquest, showdowns, or DQ? Yeah they could. But at the end you're still just playing baseball no matter the mode.
If you play alot there will be plenty of boring times. If that happens play a different game for a few days. Or just say F the grind and play what you want to in DD. Or play some RTTS or start a franchise. There's plenty of options.

Hmm. I was right terrible program, bad cards, EXACT SAME GRIND.
