New props this year?
-
Are we getting anything new any time soon? I'm dying for some new stuff to work with...
I don't even need specifics, just let me know it's planned for the future.

@Suel21_MLBTS careful what you ask for. Might get more stupid Kaiju props.
A useful prop would be team fonted numbers. The only numbers are the ones that look like a fence.

This is part of what irks me as a creator...nobody, literally nobody asked for those kaiju things...it's frustrating because we asked for better seating props, moveable foul ground(which we kinda unintentionally have now)...I would like different base templates, with different backstop designs and foul ground set ups...especially if they're not gonna give us completely fence control

Given what we now know for total certainty, the path ahead for SDS is rather easy in comparison. There is nothing easier from a coding point of view than to identify lock out code and removed it from a larger program. In fact, if the overall code is properly formatted with non-compilable descriptions, it is very easy to do.
For SDS, just keep custom stadiums out of online play and in return just remove all this lock out code. This would make the batters eyes, bullpens, and even the backstop screen (which doesn't work to block the balls) as normal props that work like all others, and remove the code that tries to keep props from the field of play. This would also include removing all the code that makes the baseline and backstop walls immobile which as we now know some people figured out how to bypass. The one area of new code would be to stitch the lower half of the dugout with the upper half so that when it moves with the baseline walls, both halves move vice just the upper half, and then map the actual locations of where the players in the dugouts, the batters circle, and the ballboys go.
Then, once this is done, just give us the building block props that we've been asking for over these last four plus years. Do these things mentioned herein, and you will see a level of customer happiness that will truly resonate.

@Sarge1387_PSN how do you move the foul grounds around?

I posted several stadiums at Reddit's Stadium Creator sub-forum. All these are in the vault. You have to use a stadium that possesses the option to move the baseline and backstop walls.

Check out Prior's posts on reddit. There's also a couple base templates he made to get us started. Now it DOES still restrict prop placement a little, but it's nowhere near as bad as how goofy to nogo zones are with the outfield
