Is it too early?

Is it too early to write off this game? The content they have released thus far has been mid at best with all the good cards being hidden in Chase packs or collections. Well, it is too early to talk about content problems, the hitting and fielding mechanics are something that are probably not going to change throughout the lifespan of this game. It is frustrating when you are an above average player and lower opponents are rewarded for bloop hits more than you are for perfect perfects. Lineouts are inevitable in baseball but this is too much. On the other hand, fielding is just absolutely atrocious. It is slow and unresponsive. How does MVP baseball 2005 have better fielding mechanics than a game produced 20 years later. The show 19-21 were peak and now we have this…

Why do you feel the need to be told to when to quit playing a video game? If you enjoy playing the game, you continue to play it. If you do not enjoy playing the game, you play a different game. If you have to be told by someone else if you enjoy the game or not, you got other issues that this forum cannot help you with. This is a decision you need to make by yourself.

In MLB '18 I quit around this time of year when I realized the game that year was structured in a way that did not suit me at all.
I have not quit this year but my playtime has definitely decreased in the last month.

Play people ranked higher than you. Thst way, you'll be the lesser rated player, and all your hits will be rewarded.
Problem solved.

I play it because I love baseball. This is currently the only mainstream baseball with licensing agreements. The only way things change is if enough people speak up about it. -
And that’s why the people who enjoy the game speak up as well… to show that not everyone wants things changed. The “I don’t feel rewarded” crowd has plenty of representation. By the way, those bloop hits are called singles. They’re part of the game.
Besides, OP, you’re hitting .311 over 87 games and you’ve hit 213 HRs. Looks like you’re getting rewarded plenty.
If you want better defense, put good defenders in your lineup.
