    @soulshred99_PSN

    None of the game modes are “in a hurry” modes. They’re all strategic. ~80% of the player base or so got used to wasting pause time as a regular thing. They’re now being forced to stop doing that and it will take time to adjust. People won’t just spend 5 years wasting time and then flip a switch and stop in 2 months. But they did waste time.

    The worst part of being a good player in prior years and playing events was matching people that were sub-700 rated players. They all wasted time. All of them. The amount of unnecessary pausing in the game was off the charts and beyond ridiculous. The amount of slow pitching is still off the charts and beyond ridiculous. The amount of refusing to click through cut scenes is still off the charts and beyond ridiculous (which SDS yet again made worse by adding new, longer ones to the game). The amount of holding R2 is still off the charts and beyond ridiculous. Match another WS player, have a lot of offense on both sides, and finish in 15 to 20 minutes or match a 500 rated player, go up 3-0, swing at literally everything to try to get the game over with, never give up a run, and still somehow take 25 minutes in a game that should have been over in 10 minutes.

    If anything, reducing pause time is too little of a step to fix this problem. They still need to remove R2 (or any other way of slowing the pitcher that doesn’t count as pausing). They still need to either remove cut scenes or have anytime spent with “Waiting for ____” on the screen count against pause time so people get dinged for watching them (or using them I guess in regards to fan cam). They still need to cut the time to pick and throw pitches in half. The worst part about the online experience is how little of the experience is spent actually playing the game.

    The only time I have had less than 45 seconds of pause time all year was a game where I let it run down on a FQ request because the game was glitched (it showed Hunter Greene as pitching but it was Jake Arrieta’s pitch mix; opponent refused to FQ and the game froze one batter later). There isn’t something wrong with the pause timer unless you’re pausing when you’re not actually doing anything.

    @soulshred99_PSN Hell no. There’s plenty of pause time for pitching changes and these types of things. There’s absolutely no reason to go backwards.

    @soulshred99_PSN i agree with you. 9 inning games need this. You should be able to see who is warming up in the pen so you can plan accordingly. More time is needed. I move my defense alignment around especially with speed guys bunt cheese. If your investing in 9 inning grind for rewards we should atleast get similar time to prior years.

    Just message your opponent not to exit when you want to pause longer. The opponent has to hit a button to end game.

    I think SDS went too far the other way…I think the 3 minute timer with no replenishment of time would have been the way to go. The removing of blocks of time every pause has made it hard.

    I am sitting here with an empty bottle of Simply Orange next to the couch to limit the time it takes to go to the bathroom. It's not right.

    I’ve been ready to stop visiting this forum due to the excessive complaining and bad takes. This one cements that idea. Once we’ve reached the point where someone wants to bring back warming up pitchers, we’ve lost contain.

    Probably the same for the developers… I haven’t seen them respond on here in a long time. Way too many people complaining about the stupidest [censored].

    Let‘s not forget that SDS did a survey exactly on this. The result is probably „the voice of the people“ 🙂

    @RealPudgyPanda_MLBTS have yet to face ONE opponent who clicks through the opening scene. Really?? You’re that impressed or let go of your phone!

    @yankblan_PSN People want to see who they are up against. It would save everyone some time if SDS would make this the first screen it shows when a game loads up.

    The amount of people who play games with the pause menu is still an issue. If anything they should actually shorten the timer
