Pete Alonso vs Mark McGwire
-
Comparing spotlight Alonso and boss McGwire, Alonso is only higher in teo attributes. Vision and contact vs eighties, I think. His vision is plus 30 to McGwire. Same number of quirks, with four shared.
How is his overall two points higher?
Didn't realize that the lineup screen doesn't show the clutch rating. Alonso is higher in that, so I guess that makes the difference with the vision.

Alonso should have been a 92, the card he got is not remotely reflective of the fact he was the best player in baseball without a 92 live series card
-
McGwire’s swing feels sluggish to me! I struggle turning on inside pitches even on Rookie! Haven’t used Pete yet

Seems like whenever they want to keep an overall down they simply tank the vision rating. McGwire, last time I checked is the only Diamond with vision that low. On the gold front I think the Elly Pre-order card also had vision that low.

For the simple reason that started a low gold. Live series ratings are not based on simply the most recent rating period.
I'd say Judge outperformed him and Judge only got a plus 2 compared to Alonso's plus 4.
Based on years prior to sets and seasons, I would say that they are going to hold off on him because he will probably be in the HR derby and get a HR card.

Right, but Alonso's April wasnt about his HRs.
It was about his high average, high walk rate, and lowish strikeout rate. he had a .475 OBP in April.
These things have already begin to normalize now. -

He has no leg kick so his swing loads really late
