@Pergo_MLBTS The problem is that you can go through and succeed at all of the spots, and if you arenβt good enough to play on the top difficulty modes, then it can all be a waste of time because you didnβt get the rewards. Iβm all for letting the better players get items faster, but for mere mortals like me, if I fail to get the item because of random percentages, the next time I try it my percentages should increase. It should not take me more than two successful runs to get the cards.
I don't really see it as a problem. The percentages are there up front so you know what you are getting in to. I don't play the stadium challenges on the highest difficulties either. Highest I will go is All-Star because I don't want to risk losing everything. Even on Veteran and All-Star I get the rewards most of the time. It's worth the risk to make like 15k-20k stubs for about an hour of playing.
But that's why I play on rookie. You only get a 2% bump to veteran and another 2% bump to All Star and it is simply not worth the risk to me.
I mean if I see 64% on AS and 60% on Rookie, I'm going Rookie all day.

@chrisham8380_PSN so you come on here cry whine and complain constantly. Then argue with people who disagree with you and if they still disagree with you itβs name calling. Maybe the internet and this game isnβt for you.

- I do understand how statistics work. Iβm saying that basing the rewards on percentages is dumb. This is not a casino. If I complete something 5 times I should have received the reward at some point.
- Iβm not leaving anything out. My luck has just been horrible. While I havenβt been able to complete every spot along the way, my odds by the time Iβve reached the stadium challenges (playing them on all-star) have been between 52% and 70%. And Iβm not talking about the βrareβBIAH packs. Iβm talking about the epic rewards. The first playthrough I got the Otavino card, but not Jung. My subsequent 4 plays I got NEITHER epic card.
Iβm sorry. You can say that the majority of the community loves this mode, but I donβt think thatβs true. I think the majority of good players do because they can play the higher difficulty levels to further increase their odds. I have never said to remove this mode or even to change anything on the first playthrough on a map. But if someone completes the map and beats the stadium challenges but does not get the card, their odds should go up a bit on their next run. You may like grinding and grinding, but not everyone does. That can make a small tweak and make it more enjoyable for more people without taking any of the challenge away for the hardcore players on their first playthrough.
Well unfortunately I do have a hard time believing you have a 70% chance on allstar because even when I pass every challange and beat the sweeper my odds have only been 58% on allstar. And again it doesn't matter it's not a casino. 58% is 58% regardless, it's the same issue people have with packs. They see 1:50 odds to pull a diamond and automatically assume that since they have 50 packs they should pull a diamond. Problem is that those odds are for each pack separately, so every single pack is 1:50 just like beating the stadium is 58%. I'm sorry you've have bad luck, but that's just odds. Next DQ is way better then the other off line modes for farming stubs and packs. Mini seasons takes a whole day and while I get more packs through most conquest maps it's a 1 and done. Most average players can complete a DQ map in 1-1.5 hours. So it is feasible that someone can play 4 DQ maps before someone completes 1 mini season.

Can we stop calling it DQ because I always think we're talking about Dairy Queen and then I get sad?

Honestly this is the #1 problem here.
Even though it is impossible to simultaneously play both (on the same account anyway), SDS treated this like some kind of zero sum game. They did not provide a repeatable conquest and completely gutted miniseason rewards for repeating (without increasing the first time clear rewards)
So there is a deserved animosity by some people towards the mode

Well obviously you've not played the show that long because there has never been repeatable conquests for rewards. And the mini season rewards is the exact same they have been for 4 years. So again invalid argument since your only saying your feelings not facts. Mini seasons always has mission rewards (so many hits with certain series or tier or strikeouts) then 1 time rewards for winning so many games, and then your post season pack and championship pack. Then usually some repeatable missions.
-
@Rhyno1986_XBL Wasn't there a conquest called "Run it Back" or something that was repeatable?
-
I am not going to get too deep into this debate. I will say that so far, my opinion of Diamond Quest has not been the most positive. As a veteran player who does not spend as much time playing the game as others on the forum I am not willing to gamble my play time on a mode where my time investment might not pay off.
I understand odds. I have not purchased any pack for stubs in years because I understand odds. It is because I understand odds and realize that a 50% or 60% chance to win a reward could pretty easily result in me not winning the reward in multiple attempts that I am not willing to play it, at least so far.
I have said it before and I still believe it, MLB 23 and MLB 24 were much friendlier to the more casual players. The more dedicated players hated that. This year, I believe, the pendulum has swung pretty far in the other direction.
I do applaud SDS for coming up with a new mode though, even if I have not particularly enjoyed it.

@Rhyno1986_XBL there was repeatable Conquest rewards: USA map until 24 and in 23 and before, you had one where you beat 3 teams for 5 packs.

I'll see you a DQ and raise you a Culvers.
Mint Oreo Mixer with extra Oreos. Pay the $10, do extra cardio the next day, and thank me later.

Arrghh, stop talking about Dairy Queen. I have one literally a minute from my house and got a little to accustomed to evening Blizzards multiple times a week. I started a diet on May 1st (7.3 pounds down so far) and have, for now sworn off sweet treats but it ain't easy and I have been craving some ice cream the last few nights.
But when I was buying Blizzards I was partaking of their limited time Dipped Strawberry Cheesecake Blizzard and S'mores blizzard. My normal go to ones are Oreo (no mint please) and Butterfinger

I blame all of you for the blizzard that I currently have
