You buy the game to have fun and relax,if you buy the game and expect everything to be handed to you then you shouldn't be playing
To be fair: We never had that … this game was always: win and get something. This is a change for a lot of people
-
@sbchamps17_NSW Holy [censored]. What don’t you understand. I’m not asking for things to be “handed” to me. But if I complete the map FIVE TIMES, I should have EARNED the reward that available by then.
-
@trfatboy22_PSN I am with you that … if you complete and succeed every mini-challenge, you should have a high percentage … But if you do that, you are definitely not a veteran player. And if you are higher, then this mode wants you to try HOF/Legend/Goat …
But back to sentence 2. If you complete it 100%, HOF should be higher than 75 (which it acutally is). Should it be higher on veteran than … say 60% … I am not sure (I tend to say „no“)
-
@YOSHI24_XBL But why? Why are only the good players able to get the rewards. And I’m not saying the percentages should be higher at the start. I’m totally on board with the better players getting rewards faster. But if I complete the map and beat the stadium challenges only to loose to RNG…my percentage should start a little higher so that I can eventually be guaranteed to get it at some point. Having to succeed at a map 6 times to still only “maybe” get the rewards if the percentage gods allow it is garbage.

if you have 50% every time, you will get your rewards … but do not expect it to be that way after only a handful of tries … that is how percentages work. You will get it eventually or you should increase the odds
-
@YOSHI24_XBL The mini challenges are all on veteran. So what makes you think someone isn't a veteran player that can complete those? lol.
I can MAYBE win a game on All-star. But as soon as you get to HOF or Legend the CPU just tees off. And you have to go all the way to legend to even actually increase odds because from Rookie to HOF it only increases by 2% at each rank (which is a whole other issue) So basically you can play on Rookie or Legend, Those are the choices.
The funniest part is you want to gate these cards and they aren't even good cards. Why do you think people shouldn't be able to obtain them?

Hm, I have an estimated „succession“-rate of prob 80% of the challenges … because some of them are just hard (hit a HR).
I win the stadium challenges on Goat … so, after reading all the complaints … I suppose that I am reading posts from players how cannot play on Goat/Legend.
If someone pretends to beat every challenge, he is definitely a good player (I did not say great, I am also not great :)) … Enough for your „lol“? -

Again, 50% statistics will not give you a reward on a 1/6-scale (because that is 16,6%). You had bad luck, that will change… because that is statistics.
If you get to 50%, you are not a bad player.
The rewards are still that good (in value) because it is a challenge to get them. Otherwise you could buy the cards for quick-sell-prices
-
@chrisham8380_PSN it’s not that you won’t get the reward, it’s that you’ll get it later if you’re unlucky or unwilling to wait as the price will continue to drop.
The problem with most people here who complain about this stuff is that they want it NOW. I’ve pre-ordered and like many opened a caca-ton of packs and pulled Lindor and Skenes (over-valued 86). That’s it; all the rest low diamonds or non-LS mid ones. I won’t complete LS and/or Rolen until late June probably with some luck (I don’t flip). Every program save Spotlight done. Both XP done; almost done with MP.
No crying here, except my wife.

@YOSHI24_XBL It’s not 50% every time. 53% was the lowest of my odds. I had one at 63% and one at 70%. I should have earned the stupid card by now. I don’t want to hear “keep trying and you’ll get it”. I’d rather be playing other modes than Diamond Quest.
-
@YOSHI24_XBL Most of them are either 1) pitching 2) a showdown or 3) get an RBI when you have a runner on third. I wouldn't consider MOST challenges to be hard. Sure some you do have to get lucky for but I think the newer DQ's have been better about not giving unrealistic moments. But of course you are reading posts from players who can't play on GOAT or Legend. That's what we've been saying the whole time. And we shouldn't have to. Again, BR Flawless, RS and WC already cater to that. DQ doesn't need to also.

Well, not accepting how statistics work, then maybe it is time to move on to another mode (that is just the reality, sorry)
-
@trfatboy22_PSN you’re saying people who like a challenge should only be rewarded by playing online? 2 very different things.
Again, it’s a competitive game mode. You should be rewarded more for challenging yourself more. It will just take more time if you’re playing on lower levels. Not everybody who plays on Legend wants to play H2H.

I will leave it with this post, since you do not want to get it how DQ works …
Last time: This is a mode about percentages.
Want higher percentages? Do good, increase it…
Want to increase it even more? Try a harder difficulty.
You failed? Try again.
You did not get the big reward? Try again and increase the percentages (see above)
Do not want to have a challenge? Well, then accept lower percentagesWelcome to DQ
-
@YOSHI24_XBL I could realistically play this 100 times and have bad luck every time while someone else plays it once and gets lucky. That….is…..garbage.

this is not true … because nobody is a bad coin guy
. Do not be to hard on yourself

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a post here that gathered so many people I’d like to be friends with and so many people that probably got stuffed in lockers when they were in school. I also find it alarming that there are so many people apparently being held at gunpoint to play a game they hate. Bizarre times.
-
@YOSHI24_XBL Which is why this thread exists...DQ Sucks. It is inherently flawed as you just pointed out. We understand how it works and it is bad. You trying to tell us it isn't bad by telling us the bad things about it doesn't make it not bad.
-
@yankblan_PSN A challenge is different for everyone. Playing on higher difficulties already rewards you with more PXP and XP and Stubs. You already are able to go into Play vs CPU and get diamonds. You already can spend 10 minutes on a DQ that Takes us an Hour. And that's not counting the online modes.
So yes, i don't think you need more.
