Developers We are almost to the point of deleting the game

First, we here in my house have been playing since 2014. Love baseball and for the most part diamond dynasty. However, none of us enjoy showdown. I get it, some like and that's fine. Putting one in an optional spot in a program is fine.
What is NOT fine is having to play the same one more than once as the ONLY way to obtain cards that only have value towards collections. Because of this boneheaded move which we dealt with once my kids have quit to play other games.
What happened to play your way? This is not how any of us enjoy spending our free game time. This really needs to be changed. Sad day -

No one is forcing you to play Showdown.
You can always wait until the final storylines drop. -

I agree with OP it's ridiculous that we have to play the Spring Breakout showdown 4 times just to get those cards and the Jackie Robinson showdown 2 times just to get those cards. We shouldn't be forced to do showdown that many times or even at all, just make the SB cards sellable

The issue with that is, Showdown would basically become completely unplayed for all but a small percentage of stub farmers. Which is the current state of Diamond Quest as it is.

There’s no way you’re deleting the game when you play that much.

@sbchamps17_NSW yes, this is my point. These are entertainment dollars and even more important time spent relaxing and enjoying a game. We don't enjoy showdown and doing it once in a program should be enough. We also collect real cards and enjoy collecting the virtual ones as well. This requirement has hurt that enjoyment.

I'm sorry, but this is not a problem.
So you hate completing Showdowns. Great. Don't. Resign yourself to the fact that you're either going to have to do something you don't like to get a couple of cards, or don't do the thing and don't get the cards.
Personally, I don't like collections. I think it's a monumental waste of time and stubs to collect high Live Series diamonds that I will never use (I don't play DD to use Live Series cards) and lock them in so I can't sell them. I'd love to have that Beltran card... and that Headley card... but I won't. And that's okay. There is nothing wrong with SDS putting cards behind a "wall" because I don't want to walk the path it takes to get them. That's on me.
You can't always have all the things.

Im convinced that anyone who keeps spouting this "play your way" [censored] just want cards for doing nothing. Theres gotta be something...some kinda reward for the multiple game modes. But without fail, every time theres a showdown or diamond quest or a program, some clown has to post "Why do i have to play this mode to get this reward? What happened to playing your way?"
Why should they give you the same rewards for playing vs cpu on rookie when other people are actually rising to the challenge and beating the showdowns or the diamond quests? Man up. Ive never seen so many people complain about playing baseball in a baseball game.

We absolutely love diamond quest, conquest, ranked and battle royal. We don't like moments and showdown is nothing but a series of moments. Do you not think having to repeat these things shows perhaps a shortage of content?

I'm honestly surprised by all the Showdown complaints lately. Like I get just not liking certain game modes, for example I don't enjoy doing moments, but Showdowns are pretty easy these days and it's not like having to play certain modes to get certain cards is something new. If you really hate them that much just don't play them, that is playing your way. I don't consider myself that good of a player and I don't think I have lost a Showdown in like 3 years. I'd much rather do a Showdown then have to work through like 8 moments or whatever.

Diamond Quest has 4-5 boss challenges “aka showdown” on every board. Yet you hate showdown, but like Diamond Quest? Okay then.
