the dugouts have to remain the same,
I agree with that, and made so that the foul ground can't be pinched in until one panel after the dugout.
Actually, I've come to change my view on this some. We can actually advocate for a greater level of flexibility here. The dugouts have to remain the same in terms of depth and length. However, they can rotate and move toward and away from their respective baselines.
Think of the concept like this ...
There is a wall panel attached to each side of each dugout. That attachment is fixed. However, if you move the wall panel then that side of the dugout rotates and moves in/out respective the baseline. In this way, you can move the backstop wall section toward or away from home plate. Of course, there has to be a minimum and maximum amount of foul ground, but that would code up the same way that there is already a maximum and minimum distance for the outfield walls from home plate.
If you notice with real world baseball stadiums, the orientation of the dugouts are different. Some are rotated to face home plate, others parallel to the baseline, and a few the dugouts actually rotate a bit away from home plate. What I just described is how actual ballparks are designed. The dugouts have to remain straight, but the amount of foul territory between the dugouts and the baselines is significantly different.

You're picturing something like this
vs this
(again, using a couple of my renders for examples)

Odd placement of foul pole and that foul line seems a bit off!
I guess we wouldn't have to worry about balls slicing foul here!
lmao that's not even the worst one, it doesnt always interpret the created parameters correctly...I've done a couple where for whatever reason there was a foul pole in center field.

That would be an extreme shift, but if it is on the correct side of second base, I guess that would be legal!

Exactly, and by doing it this way, the designer has total control and would be able to replicate any stadium within the MLB rules. In short, the template can end up being whatever the designer wants. If the current bug with the overmodeled avoidance areas on wall angles is eliminated, then any historic stadium can be precisely replicated.
And that's really the main goal.
As Mel Brooks said, "If you're going to step up to the bell -- RING IT!"
However, it is a hard rule that the foul poles must remain in line with the baselines.

This thread has been hijacked by SDS paid posters discussing drivel. Guess they broke Stadium creator beyond repair this year. RIP

@Swan70s you guys here have zero intentions as to wanting this mode to be fixed. Yall just want to complain, make conspiracy theories and run off any communication.
Stuff gets old.
Thanks for proving my point, actually there are legal issues when not having a option in a game not work that you paid money for. it's called false advertising and ignoring the issue just makes it obvious. You can try and bury the issue with drivel about Uni's but we knew what was up when you combined stadium with uni's threads.

@Swan70s great start a class action lawsuit. Talk is cheap.

What? We're discussing things we'd like to see updated in the Creator? Most of us here have been designing stadiums since it's inception

God you guys are SO picky lol, just imagine Tiger Stadium's in-play flagpole...except in mid-center instead of by the wall! Yeah that overmodeled thing really REALLY kills design possibilities too. Probably one of the first three things they need to change

@Sarge1387 dude Is talking about conspiracy theories. Nothing helpful bout that

I don't know who you are referring to, but when you first started posting, we were hoping you would be another voice professionally and reasonably calling for long overdue improvements to Stadium Creator. However, of late you've done little but attack members here and go off on wild and unprovoked screeds.
It's getting rather old. I would urge you to reconsider your approach.

Who are you referring to? What conspiracy theories? I think you're seeing things that aren't there, man.
@PriorFir4383355 I have no idea who he's talking about

@PriorFir4383355 I have been as helpful as possible, but people need to drop the nonsense and work towards the same goals here. People were legit talking about uniform errors and stadium errors joining meaning they're forgetting the mode.
So let's not talk about tone here. Especially when a thread was locked because someone cussed out the developers here.
Its not up to me to keep this going on. I made the threads so we all can get on the same page, but some stuff here needs to clean up.

@Sarge1387 there are numerous threads in this forum that just talks about how sds is forgetting this mode because they've merged stadium creator and uniform errors. Makes zero sense.

I haven't seen any nonsense. Perhaps that is because a few trolls here I sent to the blocked list long ago. I submit that is the better option. Lashing out isn't going to work. SDS owns this website and so ultimately it is up to them to "keep this going." Lastly, in terms of "clean up," I think we evaluate each person on the nature of their contributions.
I'm 62 years old and served 29 years in the US military as an officer and retired at field grade rank. I submit I don't need to clean up my contributions, nor frankly do I think it's my role here to clean up anyone else's. I'm merely writing to you so you know I think you're losing influence, and I don't think that was your intention.
Fair enough?

@PriorFir4383355 so I'll say what i said again. We need to come together, start making sense and using one thread in order to get things going. So far we're starting to hear from them.

But that's what we're doing? We're a small but dedicated group of designers. Look, @SDS_JoeK is communicating with us which is something new compared to the previous four years of this mode. When we post renders of our ideas what we're trying to do is give a visual aide to SDS for what we're talking about, we're not trying to post "drivel", we're trying to keep things light too...this isn't our profession right?
