This may be the worst MLB the Show they have made…gameplay is bad, servers are atrocious, content is decent but the multiplayer program is a joke. Diamond Quest is pretty good but overall this game is a disaster when is comes to DD.

Not even close, first off today has been the only sever hiccup they had in 25. The content is back to form, I find this game has better pick up and play then many past DD years. Is it perfect nope but it's no where near the worst

I miss having TA reset
I miss having a proper Topps now program
I miss the longer programs
I miss weekly wonders
I miss having a new miniseason with each new season/inning
I miss having the wheel rewards feel actually rewardingThe first day was great with cards in all content types and a decent length Pipeline program, but its been extremely lackluster since

Content has been an A+….If they could just tune the gameplay to last year’s game - It would be perfect.

Aside from the servers I'm pleased with the game. With that said when you build up a new feature that gives the player limited time to engage them and the player takes time off to discover the features aren't working it it irritating.

If this is what people want, well I have to accept that the mode isnt for me and move on
I like not having to think this game is a job by playing for 30 TA cards every 6 weeks for them to be used mostly as collection fodder.

I just dont like tiny breadcrumbs of content, but as I said its just not for me. I havent played in a couple days now and probably wont play until all star break, if that. I logged in, saw how little there was released for this new season/inning, saw how few TN cards there were compared ot what Topps actually released, and just logged out uninspired.
I realize that I am in the minority, but I thought Topps now and monthly awards were one of the things that really made DD awesome in 2023 (and I get most ignored Topps Now because they are meta slaves, but those 2023 TN cards were always more fun to use for me than the 99s and usually had specific strengths). I had hoped 2025 would do a better job of this than 2024, but it appears not.

Obviously this years gane does have some problems, but I'd say the problems in 25 have not come from 1. Content or content structuring, 2. TA I've been playing DD since 17 and TA was beginning to get out of control. 3. XP path has yet to say I've reached a daily gameplay limit. The problems we have are the hitting engine in inconsistent since adding ambush and them refusing to fix pci shrinking of slider/breaking pitches. And inconsistent exit velo that we all got use to last year in 24 (no the overalls not being 99 shouldn't affect that) pci is a RNG based control that SDS can fix if they actually wanted to. Nothing is ever gonna be perfect, but if they patch the gameplay bugs I do think this year will stand out. Still time, but SDS seems to be looking content.

@JDHalfrack_PSN I mean everyone has an opinion and is entitled to it, but respectfully if you think 23 is the "best" the show we've had. Then please speak with a professional, 23 was a bug riddled mess that they basically walked away from and stopped trying to even fix.
