Did they secretly nerf hitting in the update? I lost to the white Sox on rookie and the games I’ve won have been low scoring. Pretty much all of my perfect perfects are outs and an incredible amount of [censored] thrown down the middle of the zone for a good swing time go for a foul ball? What?! This needs to be fixed!

Well here we go again SDS sends out an update and here's the 1st post saying that SDS nerfed hitting. So the answer to your question is no they didn't nerf hitting, your obviously having a bad day so far but it happens

I was coming here to say the same thing... something is messed up. I just lost two mini seasons games on all-star 1-0. Multiple perfect perfects were outs. CPU was given steroids too apparently, 50 power Ian Kinsler hit a HR off me on a curveball that was a ball...

They did not change hitting. I cannot even remember the last time they made an update to hitting. I think the last hitting update was a few years ago, when Pinpoint was introduced, and SDS eventually had to increase the PCI range, in order to combat those who were dotting pitches in the lower corners of the zone. Other than that, hitting has been the same for a while.

@cjhanz84_PSN Dude, I would have taken the "Lost to the soxs on rookie" to the grave. I stopped reading after that because, there should be no reason to lose unless it's intentional.

Rookie and veteran difficulty hitting Is all random and I can barely beat the cpu just scoring 1 or 2 runs. So I tried hall of fame and legend and guess what I can score 5-10 runs on those difficulty against the cpu . Hell I can beat the cpu on Goat difficulty easier than on Rookie or veteran.

They don’t change the gameplay once it’s released. They haven’t for years now. We’re just going to have to adapt to Myles Straw power.

There isnt a large difference from rookie to veteran to all star. CPU pitches the same on rookie, except they are less likely to throw ball four. That instead will be another dotted pitch.

I'm with you! Every single year I'm rated in the top 900 of the game (minus last year because I didn't play that much because the game sucked), and now I cannot hit to save my life. The PCI is there, like it has always been, it's just not letting me make consistent strong contact unless the freaking dot is in the middle of the ball. I'm usually at least 70 to 80 games over 500 and right now I'm 17 and 11, and can't win more than 2 in a row. And i'm not even playing in the 800-900 range like I usually am, against good players. I used to go on 15 game winning streaks, and now am struggling to get 2 in a row. There are a bunch of really good streamers that feel this way as well.

I didn't all of a sudden get bad at the game, when I make World Series all the time... but at this pace it doesn't look like I'm going to sniff World Series this year. I don't even care about the exit velocity being nerfed, I'm strictly talking about decent contact when the PCI is there. Perfect/perfect's are constantly lined out the outfielder or infield when it does finally give you strong contact. It is unplayable, for me at least, right now. And when I do win, it's usually like 3-2 or 4-3 games...when I used to mercy so many of my opponents. I mean I've beaten top 50 guys a few times over the last 5-6 years. I believe I have a winning record against them actually. I can only remember 1 loss vs a top 50 player, and at least 3 wins.

I'm not saying I'm great, but I am/was a pretty good player that is now playing like absolute garbage, struggling to get out of the 600s. It was rare as hell that I lost games below 700.... now I am 17-11 playing in the 0 -600 range, vs people who single me to death with bs contact, while my pci is all over the ball, and I can't buy a freaking hit or run.

I played YourFriendKyle a few years back, and lost 11 to 9 vs him when I was ranked in the high 900s in RS, and ranked in the top 600 players that year, so I know how to hit really well......at least I did know how to hit. I am lost this year.

I don't feel like the power is even nerfed much. Are these people complaining the ones that played all year last year at shield woods?

I normally play shippett or all American and it feels like it's playing good plus I'm rarely hitting off pci hrs.

Trout, Yordan and napoli feel like they have alot of power. I even have good power with Jordan lawlar with good contact. J ram I don't hit great power with.

I'm years past my really good players I wa[censored]ting hrs every 3.5 ab or so and I think this year it's more like 6.5 ab online....but im also getting more doubles as singles so it's cool to me.

I for one and someone that found shield woods at max elevation no fun at all and a completely miserable experience....
