Battle Royale, Events, and Ranked -- No Longer Worth Playing All Of Them?
-
So the only way to get true, exclusive awards in Battle Royale, Events and Ranked now is to go 10-0 or whatever the number is? Everything else just goes into this one, multiplayer program? I hate this change. What's the point of playing all three anymore unless there's a special award needed in them to advance in the Multi-Player program?
I'm already hating the seemingly endless drag that Team Affinity now represents. And now they broke the online games. So far every change they've made this year strikes me as for the worse. (And I hate the new, unattractive HR cut scenes. Why lose one of the most beautiful graphics of the game for this cheesy batter CU shot?). Ugh.

I understand the criticism for the one multiplayer program. Battle Royale especially since unless you can go 10-0 it really doesn't justify the effort or time spent playing that mode.
On the other hand, I'm all for the changes to TA because it is finally back to truly being TEAM Affinity. For the last few years, we've had Division Affinity which really watered down the experience. It may seem daunting right now because the entire path was dropped at launch, but you have to remember this is no longer meant to be completed in a few hours and offers more content to continually grind towards which was a very vocal criticism about the game last year.
As for the new home run animation, you should absolutely have the option to turn it off or keep it on. I actually don't mind it at all as it doesn't appear all the time for every no-doubter, but players should be given the choice.

One time limited multiplayer program is 100% the right call with the shift to shorter ranked/BR periods. They absolutely should NOT go back to the way it was.
They could, however, implement year long programs of some kind for event and BR, or give incentives for playing them somehow.
Personally I may never play another BR game all year unless I need to get 1 hit again, but I will play Event significantly more than past years because its not a sweatfest for a change.

I actually enjoyed the different programs and different rewards attainable in all three. But I don't see any point -- other than required achievements -- in playing Events or BR anymore, unless you just want a 3-inning game. I'll probably end up mostly just playing Ranked, which is not great to me because I liked the variety of doing all of them. But if I have to go 10-0 to get the actual rewards, screw it. Not wasting my time on that.
