Anyone playing Events this year?

Hoping on Events last night, it was cool to get some low stakes practice at how online feels, and work on the multiplayer program and TA missions at the same time. The problem is that there really isn't anything else to play for after that. I knew the Multiplayer program was going to count all three online modes, but I would hope that there would at least be an Event Wins counter to get a specific card at 20 or so to entice people to play. When the game mode was first introduced in 2017 (or 2018) it gave specific card rewards for winning so many games in a row ( 9 wins, 12 wins), but now it is only a diamond.
Seems like it is missing something and was wondering if anyone else felt the same. Even just a win counter towards a special card would change a lot of people's minds and would draw in more action as the year goes on

@w1ck3dx24_PSN Events is just a low pressure 3 inning game stat grind now. There’s no reason to play it.

Yeah i agree br, events , and ranked all need exclusive rewards. I’ve only been playing ranked because i find the motivation to play the other 2 is gone.
-
@icebergslim7669_PSN Yeah, unless you can go 10-0 in BR those modes are dead for me.
-
I played once to get my "1 hit for Events" for the multiplayer program. I don't anticipate playing again. Same for BR. I liked to play them in past years, but I'll just stick to RS to grind stats this cycle.

I’ve played. Other than the garbage stadium locked, I like events still even without the rewards. It’s a good way to get online stats for free (vs br) without having to play 9 inning sweaty games on ranked. I applaud SDs for the change.

What have events been like for you guys in terms of competition? Compared to previous years.

You say this like its a bad thing. Closest thing to casual last year was ranked, event being a true casual mode where sweats have little incentive is a great thing.

Ive played a few games for fun, I won't stand much chance in the rewards, but it's quick to hop on and play for the love of playing. Honestly, everything I've played online feels
gummy. Dumbed down, frumpy. I've had a cpl games that have felt pretty normal and regular, but almost all have felt too much reliant on rng. mainly hitting, some base running and fielding. -
@Teak2112_MLBTS That’s an interesting perspective. I guess it’s not bad in that regard for everyone.

Exactly this … I like to play it to try some cards I have not used (or want to try out) and see how it works. It is 3 innings and it is pretty casual.
AND: I do something for the program.
As I said earlier: Maybe there should be one win-reward, but I do not mind the way it is rn
