the lack of specific rewards for battle royale killed its playability for me

They’ve made the event a pointless stat grind for people who don’t want to or don’t have time to play 9 innings. They’ve made BR a goon only mode because there’s absolutely no reason to play it if you can’t go 10-0.

Yep they messed these two modes up imo. I really don't understand the reason behind getting rid of the rewards for Events. I never really played BR but it was similar for rewards too yes?

@Cubsfan217_XBL This wasn’t a problem at all last year. No one was complaining about it. Don’t fix what isn’t broken. Go fix the myriad of other problems. They just created a needless problem.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN yea they killed my one good way to make stubs. That's probably why they did it
selling the event reward was my one money maker if all else failed now im fooked
-
@Cubsfan217_XBL Seems like they’ve done everything possible to crush making stubs. It really takes the fun out of the game for me. Playing doesn’t feel rewarding enough.
-
It’s pretty obvious that the team is really pushing people in this years game to Ranked Seasons and the new Weekend Classic.
-
It went back to 21 or around that time where rewards were only for winning. They created the programs to entice people to finish games and that sent the goons crying. Now that everyone is used to it, they take it out. Go figure.
-
@yankblan_PSN They did not create those programs to make ppl finish games … They just realised that winning is not the driving factor, so they took it out. I get it someway … BR is still a nice way to play … everybody has the same level of playing field … build your team and have fun… and earn something (from the MP reward path). That is the intention. The only downside for me: 1500 stubs.
But try to look at this from another perspective: What if ppl like to play only with the cards they earned online … they could not get the BR cards. Now everybody can -
@YOSHI24_XBL i don't agree with this at all. they ruined events and br

Events was my main stub method. They nerfed me, I don’t understand the thought process either, it sucks but it is what it is.

Fair point. Just to be clear: I am not trying to justify it … Maybe, the ideal world would be a combination of the last few years:
- Multiplayer program (like 25, so you do not have to play other modes)
- BR program (like the previous years)
- Event program with the 12-win-flawless-rewards like in 23 (to be fair: there is still one but it is live series only)
But I still like that they are trying to improve things. As I said earlier: It is very dangerous if there is no change. Maybe their intention is to make ppl fokus on the new weekend-league format … Who knows?
