Hoping SDS actually does something this year as same issues happen every year. Like most of you I preorder deluxe and I was happily surprised that by 930 last night AZ time I was able to play last night. What I was very disappointed in was seeing Garrett Crochet’s model be the exact one from 2024, not one change made other than pitch types. The thing that is so frustrating is the player card has him in Red Sox uniform, with a shaved head and beard, yet in game still no beard and same hair from last year. I haven’t had a cut scene to show Rafael Dever’s hair yet, but for the last 3 or 4 years he’s had some short twisties when he has had a fade for years so please update the best players on the team at least. Something still off with Jarren Duran, Conner Wong still not reflecting right either so it would be nice to have a minor update so it doesn’t feel like I’m still just playing 2024. I agree with previous posts about there being no graphical improvements, doesn’t make sense that we haven’t seen any updates since PS5, and last complaint is the regurgitation of the commentary, it is so unfair that we buy a game every year and get the most basic updates to commentary, same comments same stories, never once talking about huge story lines like Crochet trade or Cora extending contract or young prospects, just do something to show us that the guys actually went into the booth for this rendition, dead give away when Singleton still telling you to “trust the process” after hitting a ball hard and getting out. Love the game SDS bought every single year, I just expect it’s going to be a little better every year but sadly it’s always a retread with a few new shiny things. Please fix player models as last year I was very pleased that Tristan Casas, Wilyer Abreau, and Jarren Duran were updated and it reflected in my already started franchise so hopefully you can update these and other players quickly.

    I Co-sign this! Very needed

Also id like to point out a star player, Alex Bregman needs a big update in his body model, he sould be strongher, buffier:

He looks way too thin ingame right now, very off.

@MAINELYBOSTON_PSN love to second this. Literally MOOKIE BETTS a 95 overall, mlb the show has his style / appearance completely wrong. They have him wearing long pants when he literally wears leg up pants. Not to mention they have him wearing red batting gloves. He never wears red batting gloves during the season. Additionally, they have Andy pages and will smith swings wrong. Both are two handed swings. In the game, both players have a one handed swing finish. Very annoying because it’s little things that aren’t fixed to match the reality of the player. At least perfect the style of a player who is a 95 overall.

Haven’t used Mookie since his days with the Sox, but I wholeheartedly agree that the best players should be spot on, I mean he’s a top 10 player and every last thread or animation should be perfected. This is an annual release so it really should feel like time was put into improving upon an already amazing game, I just don’t understand how hair, eyes, and faces haven’t improved more robustly with next gen systems and anytime anyone dares to say it’s just a roster update gets chastised by others when everyone just wants attention-to-detail and know that their players are true to life representations rather than some cartoon characters.

Additionally Romy Gonzalez is incorrect same guy as last year. Again, you have the player card and there he is with a cop-stache (mustache) and in 2025 still some random guy with a full beard. SDS please tell me maybe you guys haven’t pushed the patch accidentally to update 2024 to 2025 appearances but it’s very copy and paste with no attention to detail. This is a valid complaint I posted last year too, same guys the initial post referred to in addition to Romy, but Vladimir Guerrero Jr cuts his hair you update immediately. Hard to contemplate there isn’t some person assigned to each team, maybe even more than one, so it would be cool to push any updates to appearances immediately as you don’t give us players, aka people paying $100 every year (me and all of you I’m sure), the ability to edit hair or facial hair it would make it way easier. For cases like Conner Wong and just not a good resemblance, do what they did with Casas last year, he looked completely different once they actually put him in game. Every guy that started even half the games last year let alone multiple years, should look stellar, that’s not a lot to ask for when you’ve spent $1000’s on The Show franchise.

New oficial mesures by MLB, I think they need to update it too:

    Casas 6'5" → 6'4"
    Anthony 6'2" → 6'3"
    Grissom 6'2" → 6'3"
    Story 6'2" → 6'1"
    Duran 6'2" → 6'1"
    Narvaez 5'11" → 6'0"
    Romero 5'11" → 6'0"
    Hamilton 5'10" → 5'11"
    Bregman 6'0" → 5'11"
    Rafaela 5'9" → 5'10"
    Wong 6'1" → 5'10"

Wow, they had Wong at 6’1” never noticed that before, that’s like saying Pedey is 5’10”.
Also Kristian Campbell is not looking the best they should definitely update him being possible opening day 2nd Baseman, number 5 ranked player in MLB, Mayer and Anthony look good as far as the Big 3 though. Huge complaint other than Kristian Campbell’s appearance is his name isn’t programmed, even after manually putting “Christian” for audio first name and “Campbell”, still they refuse to say his name only his position or number, last year when I called him up and did same thing they said his name as they normally do if it’s a name in the database. Not sure if that is some other larger issue, although I did notice he’s appearing as CAP since you can modify everything (face, hair, etc.) when usually you can only edit position or other things and equipment but if you want to make Garrett Crochet rightfully bald with a beard, you can’t. Hoping Connor Wong gets long overdue upgrade too, and Trevor Story.

Terrible to use Crochet with this old custom face... also bregman needs an update asap in his body type, he should be bulky, stronger in general... I dont understand why they dont let us edit the body types of real players.. there are toons of errors all across the league... Duran looks a bit too bulky too, they made him with incredible huge tights, looks very weird.

    @SimeNOCE_XBL

I agree, Duran is Tyler O Neil swole for real so I’m not mad, but they got him looking Ricky Hendersonesque on lower half lol. Something about Duran’s hair and goatee need to be fixed they tried but it’s soul gloish. Crochet is definitely worst thing though especially the fact they have updated player card with his real appearance. Hoping this is top priority to fix upper echelon players at least, I did see they fixed Dever’s hair finally after wrong hair for 3 years.
