Yeah, I don't get the complaints about the My Journey stuff. it's just a fun thing to "brag" about if you get there and is something that you progress in as you naturally play the game. People really having to go out of their way to find something to complain about this year!

This is absolutely the correct thing to do. If they put a card there people would have felt compelled to grind 4200 hits in a week. Its just for fun and is passively for playing, not everything needs a card

I get "let's not put cards in there for Day 1". But there's got to be a better way.
My solution: get a voucher for a My Journey Choice Pack that releases whenever 99s start dropping on the regular (August?) The MJCP will have 12 different 99s (one for each stat so you can eventually earn all). That lets you earn 99s instead of cheesy unlockables, but doesn't give you access to them until the correct time (just like the All-Star/Finest vouchers from Team Affinity.)
Even better: have the MJCP include these cards:
HOF Hank Aaron (Career Hit leader of current Show legends)
HOF Musial (2B)
HOF Honus (3B)
HOF Ruth (HR ... or Aaron again I guess)
HOF Rickey (R)
HOF Ted (W behind Rickey/Ruth)
HOF Brock (SB behind Rickey)
HOF Nolan (K)
HOF Cy (IP)
HOF Walter Johnson (W behind Cy)
HOF Rivera (Sv)
HOF Mays (PXP) -

Not everything needs a card. Its fine. They are putting boss caliber cards in offline modes this year. Ranked/BR bosses will be more frequent. Collections will be more frequent. We seem to be eating good this year.

@Teak2112_MLBTS Could have easily given us some stubs. It doesn’t have to be a card.

With the splitting of the USA map, we don’t get the single 85 reward for the whole thing we used to get. Not that I’d have much use for it by the time I reached it anyway.

@Teak2112_MLBTS I agree, it's more about just being able to see how many hits and whatnot you have at any given point. This is the place to do that.

@yankblan_PSN For the US conquest you are getting six 84 overall gold cards (2 per map). Not fantastic but do these cards help with the Spring Breakout or Pipeline collections, helping you earn a decent diamond?

At the least, last year was unis but they have had players for the strongholds before,
