with how online play works or 24 will be my last version of this game.
In the last 4 hours I have been trying to get an Event game.
When I match up with someone they either sit on the pitcher select or the lineup screen.
I've exited a total of 45 'games' in that 4 hours as nobody selected a pitcher or confirmed a lineup.
I'm that 4 hours; I matched up with someone and the game actually started 10 times.
Out of those 10 times the game was at Shield Woods 8 times and at a cheap created stadium 2 times.
All 10 times my opponents lineup was filled with switch hitters and all 10 times it was raining.
5 were legit wins, 4 were legit losses, and 1 was a win after someone loaded the bases on 16 straight pitches in the dirt and when the next pitch was a meatball down the middle, because they let the cpu throw it, they dashboarded as soon as I hot what would've been a no doubt grand slam.
25 needs to give the opportunity to 1: See which stadium your opponent selected; prior to committing. 2: Show the weather your opponent selected; prior to committing. 3: See your opponent's roster; prior to committing. And 4: Eliminate the use of created stadiums online.
If not; eliminating Sets and Seasons won't help rectify this series.

This is the most hypocritical post ever.
So what you’re saying is you want to be able to make sure your opponent has an inferior lineup…or you’re going to back out?
You’re playing an event where the maximum total reward is issued after 15 wins. You got 6 of those in your 4 hour endeavor. I’m sure you had a handful before that. So you’re either looking for a handful more, or you’re needlessly grinding an event after completing it.
Plus it’s an event. Your W/L record literally doesn’t matter.
-
Nope…This has been done before & it’s even worse finding a game. Years ago….And I’m talking like a decade+, You used to see your opponent’s lineup and people could then choose their pitcher based on how many lefties/righties you had. It was absurd lol and took forever to find a game.

That makes sense. Ok, then maybe an option that you're allowed to leave the game, without penalty, before the first pitch is thrown.
I'd rather wait for a decent game than have to play at Shield Woods, in the rain, and against a full switch hitting team EVERY [censored] GAME.
Or, as I said, disqualify high elevation and created stadiums in online play. And if they can turn off wind; they can program it ro not allow rain.
-
I don't mind playing a switch hitter team especially at this point it's like
Mantle
Ketel
Posada
Adley
J roll
Chipper
J ram
Polanco
ReynoldsIts end game so many are just the best cards period
Shield woods is ridiculous... Facing randy and Donaldson every game is kindve old too lol.
Itd take you longer to find a game if everyone could see your lineup bc people would just back out if they had a inferior team
I think allowing us to to create a vs lhp lineup and a vs RHP lineup would be nice tho so we could legitimately run platoons. Say we have gehrig in our lineup against randy and we sub in hank Aaron to replace we've already burned gehrig for no reason. People running switch teams really combats that cause we can't run true platoons

@Capt-Clutch-2K24_PSN I’m torn on created stadiums. Yes, We all don’t like the pony league fields with the visual distractions in the outfield along with max elevation…But I have also seen some stunningly amazing stadiums that are beautiful & with respectable measurements.
Maybe have a button to select that says you don’t want to play at created stadiums. That should be doable.
-
Knock on wood, I've rarely had someone just sit in the screen. Might have to wait a minute or two but they eventually show up.
-
I gave up on line for all of 2024.
Could not be happier.
But gave it a go for this event due to being done w TA 4.Stinks… period.
Ball jumps frames on me too much.
I have to swing way too early.Just give me a repeatable USA map vs all time boosted teams.
This way I can play on legend how I like and enjoy a relaxing game of Baseball.
How can this not beca thing?

Online is just a bad experience for people who live overseas. Sometimes the lag is minimal, sometimes it makes outlier pitchers unhittable.
-
I just want the ability to reject all games outside the continental US (or at least a pregame ping notification).

As long as I get a games worth of program completion when you do so

I played 3 event games today, laughing mountain and two home games... Got opponent right away on all 3, no lag, I'm on east coast
First team was all switch but didn't notice till I changed my first pitcher
I used a all Brewers team, then all twins team, then all Yankees team for team affinity
I will say that Brewers game went into 5 innings and I got 4 hits on 21 good contacts ... That was annoying but I think that was the game being the game and not a lag issue. Fortunately I was still able to win

21 GC's and only four hits in five innings? How does that work?

You propose something that would make it impossible for me to complete online programs. There arent enough players in Australia for what you propose to be remotely reasonable. Unless, of course, SDS does the right thing and makes the cards earnable offline. Even then, some may got upset at the lost exp

I don't know what defines good contact technically, but obviously you can see hit analysis during game and after game...most of them were 100+ mph groundouts

I was wondering how that worked because five innings (15 outs) plus four hits would seem like 19 good contacts at maximum. However, I just grinded for that Hilton Smith card tonight (hadn't been playing much lately) and had two perfect-perfect fouls in a span of three innings. So it makes more sense now lol.

@Capt-Clutch-2K24_PSN A few things
- You propose something worse to help erase a bad thing (Switch-hitter captains I suppose) that was invented. First thing: The cause needs to go
- We are in the end-game cycle, everybody has crazy lineups. If you do not like that, do not play (online)
- As a lot of people said: If everybody can exit anytime because he/she does not like the opponents lineup, there will be less playing … which is exactly the thing you complained about in the starting post
- Stadiums: Yes, those stadiums are still a disgrace … but SDS has not done anything about it (they did something against the switch-hitter captain), so it is either like it or leave it. I wish stadiums would not matter that much in online play too
-
25 needs to give the opportunity to 1: See which stadium your opponent selected; prior to committing.
-why?2: Show the weather your opponent selected; prior to committing.
-again why?3: See your opponent's roster; prior to committing.
-thats nonsense I’m sorry. What’s the point in picking players against a random person only to have them quit before the game even starts? And 4: Eliminate the use of created stadiums online.
-why?
Sounds like you’re just mad it doesn’t go exactly how you want it to go. It’s challenging for a reason, but your points defeat any challenge for diamond dynasty since it only benefits you on this

Part of the issue is you're really penalized if you hit the top of the ball. Pitchers stop EVERYTHING up the middle regardless of ratings or height. So many line outs directly at 1b or 3b, dives down the line if people react quick or almost always stopped... Then if you're playing a guy with diamond speed/reaction at ss and 2b not a lot getting through.
It is what it is. If you play the game you know the only way is to get under the ball and pull it consistently. So I just made a bunch of good contact on the batter analysis but beat most of it in the griound.
Were still not usually rewarded with 100+mph ground balls.
If they could fix the Pitchers from catching everything it would make gameplay so much better and get alot more runners on the bases. If they removed one set of animations they should start with every pitching defending the mound to perfection
