Gee maybe because the last big update was on August 29th and Devers played 20 games in the current update cycle before getting injured? Because in those 20 games he had 0 home runs and his Average dropped 15 points so his Power and Contact numbers decreased?
When people say that they don't change injured players it is implied that they mean ones who did not play at all in the span since the last update.
My guess, If Devers had been on fire for those 20 games and received an upgrade you would not be here complaining about injured players getting updated.

Hard to read; but here are the season stats for Devers snd fkr Trout.
Ad yiu can see; Devers did better than Trout, whose numbets were dipping ALL seadon, yet he was NEVER downgraded.

@X-FREEZE-OFF-X_PSN Trout last played on a game on 4/29/2024. There were only a couple updates where he would have been eligible for a downgrade. After the 5/17/2024, if he had not dropped, he would not be dropped for the rest of the year. Devers was injured on 9/20/2024. So there several months more of data on Devers. If Devers had not been downgraded today he would not be eligible the rest of the year either.

Numbers were dipping all season. So all season is 29 games.
I can't believe you are comparing total stats for a guy who played 29 games this season to a guy who played 138.

Trouts contact numbers were downgraded but his power numbers upgraded so his overall number stayed the same . Which makes sense , since he had a poor batting average but I believe he led the league in Homers when he got injured. So it's about right .
