9/27/24 'Career Tribute' Program

I would much rather have a repeatable mission than having to do all the moments. So far the closest I got to 8 total bases was 5, at least make pillars card with power because he swings a noodle for a bat
-
Saying you need to buy cards with real life money is not remotely honest
-
I’m sorry though, any regular program that isn’t moment specific should have something repeatable. Game is already a grind and I have other things to do in life than focus on all these programs

I got it because I got a 4th at bat against a lefty
What I learned today about Kevin Pillar's career: he never did anything important vs a lefty.

I knew people would complain about this but of course people complain about everything. Some people complain if they deem the programs to easy and finish them off in a few hours. So they give us something more substantial to tackle that heaven forbid it might take some folks a few days or even weeks and another group complains.
It took me two hours to do all of the moments. Some that I thought would be easy ended up being hard and some of those I thought would be hard ended up being easy.
These is a career program so it makes sense to have key moments from the players careers. Personally I am dreading trying to keep track of the 20 or so missions that I now need to finish in order to finish the program. But I will get it done. Maybe not today or tomorrow but I don't need to rush it.

Why is every pitch from the CPU now in on the hands?

Personally I love it, and I think there is really one moment that I feel is a bit much (Pillar vs Scherzer, 1 HR would have been fine here), but I didnt have too much trouble completing it personally
I think if they had a repeatable mission or a conquest map it would be praised by most

I finally got it, but it would be much better of Scherzer would just throw strikes. Took me 8 tries and 80% of what he threw were balls, most of them inside or way outside

For some reason a few of the ones that tripped me up, probably because I felt like they should have been easier were
Rich Hill Two perfect innings - Screw Marcel Ozuna. He kept getting hits but luckily he was the second batter.
Matt Carpenter two extra base hits - I don't know why I struggled so with this.
Jose Abreu single HR - Why? I don't know.
Cutches 300th - I don't remember who the pitcher was but it was a same sided pitcher I believe with Slider/Sinker as his top two pitches and it was a daytime game.
-
Somehow I did the Kevin Pillar 8 TB on the second try.
Also, Charlie Blackmon having a moment where it's Rockies vs Rockies kind of tripped me out.
-
Managed to finish all of them. The three hit mission that started in the second took the longest
-
How did everyone do the 8 total bases moment? I try to hit a HR for the 1st at bat is that a good idea

Yup, I got annoyed with Keirrmier, he would get 1 hit early and then everything was hit at someone, think it took me a good 40 minutes

For Pillar? Swing at inside pitches in the zone, if you don't hit a home run your first time start again. Second most annoying moment in the program for me.
Then again I have yet to attempt the Rich Hill perfect game.
-
@cjhanz84_PSN They should have an easier way, but the easier way should be more of a grind and take longer. I do think there should always be multiple ways to finish a program.
-
@sbchamps17_NSW If you don’t get a HR or double in the first AB, restart.

I still have a few to do
Heyward grounded into 5 consecutive double plays, but the next moment was 2 hits and he tanked two first pitch HRs
Keiermaier is a triples machine. had 4 of them before getting his second HR (for those struggling with the 3 hits bunting is your friend)
It took me way longer to get an RBI vs Bowman than it should have.IKF's error didnt cost hill the second perfecto moment
Final Blackmon moment is hilarious, nice job SDS

Just started these moments and it's been smooth sailing for me up until the 8TB Abreu one. I completely annihilated his first two HR moments on the first try with perfect perfects. This moment though? 30 minutes in and I've had just 1, the switch has been flipped and it's all weak contact with gold glove play throughout the field. My gears are grinding. Watching these OFs casually chase down my good contact hits so nonchalantly is infuriating. lol
-
So I completed all the moments besides Zack Greinke last two as a noob to this game, I made my conclusion, all are easy, especially to a pro player, except Kevin Pillar vs Max Scherzer, I spent more time on that than the others combine, Pillar have low power so getting a HR from him is difficult, imagine getting two, or tallying 8 bases, ugh
