But that was pre retirement. And it was a pack card of some kind (I dont remember which, I just know I dont have it) so its a card a lot of people likely don't have. It would be an absolute travesty if they dont release a 99 of him that isnt behind a pack considering hes a sure thing Hall of Famer and we wont see him in game again for a while.

@Teak2112_MLBTS He’s only 45k still. He’s been as low as 30. That’s a poor reason to do an entire program for a card we already have. We have yet to get a good McGwire card. That would be a much better program idea for his 70 HR season.

I hope they do a storyline next year of the home run race year of Sosa and McGwire.

Yes they did. I just posted the information about last years program in the other thread. It was a pretty stacked program last year.

I would like a Storyline, not a program. Was an important time for baseball to bring interest back into the sport. MLB was still recovering from the strike 3 years earlier.
