Came back to play a little bit and nothing has changed. I still want to wait till S4 when I have free range and enough double or triple XP to get my babe Ruth I'm still freaking working towards.

Still hate the rotating lockouts on your earned cards. It's not friendly to casual every day ranked players. I am totally fine with MMR resets on ranked seasons. Every other video game does that too. It's good for balance. Can't stand the set rotations.

I really am pushing hard for a split in ranked modes. It needs to happen in 25. Screw the bugs and glitches, they ain't getting fixed, clearly.
Remove the rotating sets and do TWO modes and this game would be solid.

Live Series and Wild. (Possibly a third)

In my theoretical proposition Live Series is as it sounds with wildcards for the content drops and sets they want.
Focus on live series players and let there be wildcards for Lineup, Bench, Rotation, and Bullpen.

SDS can keep doing their minimal content drops every week or two weeks and splash them into the wildcard options on live series. I don't think there should be sets with this option but just make creative cards with varying overalls. You could very easily do a level squish and take time building up to 99s like they did this year but just do away with the sets. Allow player creativity with more than 4 wildcards and 75% of the team has to be live series cards. Keep the super charged cards an option as it keeps those without so many wildcard slots in competition in a fairly balanced way. I like captains and still think they could be made for this mode but it's not required and if the community would rather not have them they would not be necessary for this type of mode to be successful.

To be specific about my thoughts on this Live Series Ranked with wildcards:

2 wildcards for 9 man lineup
    1 wildcard for the bench
    1 wildcard for the rotation
    2 wildcards for the bullpen

You don't even need core cards although I think they could still be valuable if there was a set mix for this game mode. Core cards are good for casual no money spent so I understand the idea behind them but again, no need for core if there's no sets. It's just Live Series then everything else.
There really needs to be a way to improve the state of card quality. There's too many diamonds and stacked teams that kinda narrows the meta more than it does diversify it. I think with an emphasis on Live Series it gives more value to gold cards and lower as right now they are [censored] near useless unless they are super charged.

    Wild

As it sounds, wild. You can use whatever you want how you want. You could limit it to a degree but I wouldn't as it's meant to be a classic straight forward use whatever is in your arsenal to win. Every deck building game has this. They have a rotating ranked mode and a non rotating or wild mode. It keeps your playerbase happy and enables experimentation in a competitive way. Most cases people use modes like this to get a feel for what they need to use in the standardized or rotating format. There's no way to do that right now in The Show and I think that leaves a bad taste in the playerbase mouth and doesn't allow for much room to improve on sets.
It keeps your casual players quiet and happy since they don't have to rush and feel pressured to get all the sets ASAP or be left in the dust.
I think captains would shine best here than in the Live Series prop but again captains can go in either just need he proper tweaking.

Anyways, that's my spiel from my experience with other competitive video or card games. I've said this before but it's an easy fix and I really think it's more beneficial than the method they use now.

I’d be surprised if they kept seasons at this point. Seems like the overwhelming majority still don’t like it.

@GoozeFn_PSN totally fine with the concept and trying to standardize a ranked mode just not fine with their method.

    1. Keep sets, scrap seasons
    2. Current set cards earn double xp
    3. Ranked has no restrictions
    4. Event alternates between set restriction and themed
    5. release 3 mini season every set. TA and 2 others. first one early on is themed. Second one (after people have had a chance to get cards) is set. Vault pack in championship rewards, your choice of any set.

They still can keep Sony happy with an incentive to buy packs for current set, but players can use who they want in most modes

1- Drop sets, go back to collections. Actually gave us something to do with all the different Series cards. If Sony is so inclined to keep their awful pack-locked cards they can do it through the various sets and sell some packs that way.

2- Drop Seasons and go back to Innings. Seasons has been almost unanimously disliked since it's inception.

3- Revert XP back to proper levels. And then, to extend on @Teak2112_MLBTS 's idea...highlight a different collection series that gains double XP, perhaps for only one week at a time. This would still encourage the use of various lineups and cards.
