Gold Glove award formula
-
I always struggle to win a Gold Glove in every single RTTS since MLB The Show 18, and I'm constantly confused, and this is an extreme example. I just finished my fourth season in RTTS in the MLB, and I only have 1 Gold Glove (due to everyone else making an error). My confusion lies in the fact that I just finished in 3rd place in the Gold Glove race, when including me, the top 3 all have a perfect fielding percentage. Not only did my team finish with over 130 wins, but in the Gold Glove stats, I have a perfect fielding percentage, I have 104 MORE putouts than first place, and 60 MORE assists than first place (125 more putouts and 62 more assists than second place). I'm constantly confused by this every single season I finish in RTTS since MLB The Show 18, as this is the only award my character's can never win, even while being perfect. I'm also going to attach the image which shows this discrepancy because it's getting annoying at the end of every season, thinking my play is good enough to win Gold Glove, just to finish in third every season while having better stats. If anyone can tell me any kind of reasoning behind this, that would be fantastic, because having dealt with this being my only issue with RTTS since MLB 18 RTTS and still dealing with it now is super annoying.
For example: in this post, Pete Crow-Armstrong won, Johan Rojas finished 2nd, my character finished 3rd. The stats for all three are as follows
GG Winner - PCA: 1.000 FLD, 265 PO, 16 A
2nd - Rojas: 1.000 FLD, 244 PO, 14 A
3rd - My Character: 1.000 FLD, 369 PO, 76 A -
If it’s like the actual MLB only 25% of your score, or chance to win the GG, is calculated by your stats. 75% is based on votes by the coaches of your league. I don’t know how the game calculates that 75%, but I had the same problem. The strange thing is that I only struggle to win the GG in the national league, I won 5 straight when I hit free agency and signed with an AL team.

Just play at DH. You're sure to win one.
Or just be the worst defensive player of all time at your position.
Easy peasy.

I've only had problems winning gold gloves as a 2way player because 1 error knocks you out of the running against Pitchers.
