Pitching vs the cpu

Do any of you guys know if pitch sequence matters vs the cpu ?
Especially at hof and legend difficulty? -

No, just baseball common sense. 0-2 or 1-2 I usually bury an offspeed pitch in the dirt to see if they chase. If not, I've already semi-messed with their timing so I throw a high heater.

1 out of every 20 batters or so the CPU will blindly Hack at pitches on the black to go down 0-2 and then your Out pitch will mysteriously hang and get blasted on a perfect/perfect. Only sequencing I've noticed.

my issue is about 1 out of every 5 fastballs will be over the plate regardless of input, which are usually fouls or whiffs.
Unless its Trout, Elly, or Harper. They will hit a HR
