Bug unfixed
-
When MLB The Show 24 was first released, it did not take long for people to discover that it introduced a bug into the custom stadiums. The issue was that sometimes the seats would revert in color, from the color assigned to them in the stadium properties, to a blank white color.
Two months ago, I diagnosed the cause of this issue down to a specific screen vignette that caused the bug 100% of the time that this screen was displayed. I sent two bug reports to SDS. The first was sent back in June and the second in late July.
Since then, four updates were released to the public and the bug was never fixed.
For the record, the screen vignette is the one shown between innings where one to players are shown in large format presentation, with associated statistics and a team themed background. It does not matter if this screen is allowed to play to completion or interrupted, when the presentation returns to live action in the custom stadium, the seat color is changed to white, and it always remains that way for the remainder of the game.
SDS is showing poor form in refusing to allocate resources to fix bugs like this. When the customers take the trouble to isolate the specific cause of the bug and communicates it, and SDS takes no action to fix the issue, then it reveals unprofessional conduct by SDS.
Customers deserve better than this.

This franchise won't be around much longer I suspect so don't worry too much but you're incredibly right. They act as if they have a small 5 man indi dev team on steam but at least those dev teams have passion for their game. These guys are here for a check. And nothing wrong with that but none is motivating them to make the next best game. Just a game that's makes money.

Yeah I noticed this too...I've sent tickets in with suggestions as well regarding the auto trim coding that use for sinking seats into the ground and applying it to the wall (thereby making the wall the "blade")...that was back in April. Same thing, absolute crickets.
And like @AdeptOfMemory_PSN says, they like to pretend they're a small indy dev team that simply can't provide basic updates...I don't know what their line of thinking is here especially after the disaster of a prop update #18 brought

It's honestly crazy. Didn't Sony just open up a revamped studio for these guys, only for them to struggle to do the bare minimum in effort? It's gotten embarrassing.

@jake98833_PSN I don't pay enough attention to know about that but that sucks. I can't 100 blame dev team staff but upper management it's weird cause even trying to blame them is hard cause the game doesn't necessarily feel like they are squeezing money out of the playerbase. Just boring and non creative game. Oop may be nice but it's not game changing or groundbreaking and half the playerbase still doesn't like it.
