Update now nothing hit hard
-
This game is broken just like the other sports games out there. I’m a die hard sports fan just like the majority of us on here are. I do not have the time to put into video games now like I used to. When you a play a video game you want it to be enjoyable, relaxing, not stressful. I know I’m not good at them anymore, period. MLB the Show has nothing to do with not being good, it has to do with the gameplay. Whether we are talking about the hitting, pitching, fielding, or running, this game has holes all over the place. More importantly the game is not fun. Same glitchy [censored] over and over again. Why play this mess when you can just go watch a ball game on tv.
-
Game definitely not broken, still getting plenty of hard hits
-
Would say it’s an accurate representation of scoring in rookie or veteran vs cpu on conquest or single game. Was playing Apple map vs reds earlier on rookie and got 10 runs in one inning went through lineup back to lead off hitter. Then next game 2-0. Play different than most though only hit normal swing and don’t move stick around for ball. Like used to do on show 14 ps vita
-
Trash game, NCAA Football countdown is on.
-
@BigCastle00_PSN lol yep this new update has made hitting even worse. Combine that with the trash connections this game has is gonna run off what little of the player base is left. Minus some of the white knights.
-
Yea will be playing both games to see NCAA and how they do ultimate team. Will say Show keeps me interested more than Madden and fifa ultimate team put a lot of hours into those too
-
@sbchamps17_NSW oh yeah got a 520ft with Chipper 95
-
I’m not talking anything to do with the diamond dynasty, strictly gameplay. This game plays very slow and choppy, there is no fluidity to it. The gaming engine has really taken a hit since a few years ago and just has got worse.
-
Have noticed sometimes on SB a small slowdown when computer tries to throw you out at second but love it cause counters the questionable out tags they get that appear safe to me
-
@BigCastle00_PSN fair. My point still stands though.
-
Would be cool someone start a post where folks write down their highest HR percentage card maybe minimum 100 at bats. Seem to hit better with lefties uppercut swing myself can’t wait to figure up the numbers. The OG Gunnar was my best even over 99s can remember and now the 90 Gorman is performing like the S1 just hitting 500 and seems like HR every 3 at bats
-
@sbchamps17_NSW yeah i havent heard that pop off bat since update. As much as i hate game now im a sucker for that no doubt about it homer and will keep plugging til its fixed.
-
This is dumb. I just won a game 11-9; baseballs smashed everywhere by both of us. Sounds like a couple of whiners had some bad games and need to invent something to blame.
My god. How can anyone think that there aren’t enough hard hits in this game… I’m not a good hitter, so I can’t imagine what scores would be if the game was made easy enough for people that complain that there aren’t enough hard hits.
-
I think the fuss is mostly offline rookie/veteran grinding. Certain places I notice it too. Showdowns seem to have power nerfs and mini seasons cards don’t perform like they do in vs cpu or conquest. I personally just avoid these modes for stat grinding and pxp grind.
They should update Nation of Baseball with every season to add more variety of core cards. Don’t have to be high overalls but it might encourage people to revisit this once or twice a season.
-
@CULOSIN_PSN Did you watch the summer circuit yesterday? First game, over 50 runs
… Maybe a skill issue?

totally agree, exit velo increased by a lot to an absurd level. If guys want to have „fun“, go ahead and buy retro MLB Slugfest or The Bigs. This game is supposed to represent „real“ baseball

Well, in real baseball if you make good contact the ball gets hit hard. Can’t nerf that like in previous years. I believe if they tone down the hits and homeruns with bad input the game would play more realistic.
-
@iBonafideScrub__PSN I don‘t think we will reach an agreement
… I do not have those experiences you are suggesting. I have bad exit velos on all my bad swings… the ones with good input reach 100+ mph.
And to get back to my previous post. If you watched game 1 of the summer circuit finals yesterday … Legend difficulty… good contacts … massive bombs with over 50 runs. No offense but I think it is a skill issue … Exit velos are crazy this year, especially compared to previous years -
think about it , how many times has anyone here hit the cycle ,, when this game was fun you would do so 3-4 time a year , when was the last tme you hit 4 HR's with the same player in a single game , its been years since i heard the announcer talking about that stat , use to do it several times a year, especially when they had Ted Williams Diamond
one thing ive notced over the years is they have diluted the value of the Diamond card , the way it use to be in the games infancy was
common- were your lineup fillers , and you used them
Bronze - were your meat and potato cards
Silver - were your team backbone
Gold - were your stars
Diamonds - were reserved for SUPER STARS present and past , when you got a Diamond card you had a beast , they performed and were coveted , they were just as i said , super star ,it wuld take almost the whole season to aquire a full squad of Diamondsnow a days diamonds are trash , golds are "meh , i'll take the 400 stubs" , silver, bronze, common automatic sells so why even have them , oh thats right so you can unpack them in the packs you get

They play everyday and RS have different sliders than other game modes.
That event probably had the same sliders as if I sent you an invitation for a friendly game.
