No point to play if you don't make it realistic

There are still going to be foul balls just because it's part of the game

See ya tomorrow

Is this dude really complaining that this baseball game plays like a baseball game? I mean everything he gave as an example that this game is "broken" is something I've seen in an actual baseball game in the past week.

Don't get gaslit, bro. Your frustrations are real and they aren't heard by SDS. Just the people who despise the playerbase and love their slop.
-
Perfect perfect dose not guarantee you a hit, the fielder can make a great play or the weather can affect the ball, just like real life.
-
I had a guy the other day complain that the game was rigged because all of his hits were perfect...and all my hits were cheap because they were ill timed. Not sure how he would know that. I just looked up box score and he only had one perfect hit that went for a homer. Was out hit 10-6 and I am pretty certain I was eighteen beers in. Baseball is baseball. No reason to start a thread every time things don't go your way. Say GG or nothing at all and go on to the next game.

Not moving and catching the ball standing still is a great play?

OK, no, but I 've seen that in real baseball though, it happens, the fielder only has to take a step or 2 and thats it.

I absolutely get these arguments. I think if there was a way SDS could show or add in the game HOW your perfect perfect lost the duel instead of giving the user the feeling they did something right only to have it sent to infield glove.
What I mean is, in real life, a pitcher will throw a pitch that he intends to get the batter to ground out, pop out, or strike out. Let's say the batter makes great contact but that pitch wins because of the spin of the ball, speed, or the batter tops it or something and is popped out. Look at the batters reactions. You can tell he didn't like it, doesn't feel good, doesn't look good.
SDS says "hey! You did EXACTLY what you're supposed to in a VIDEO GAME! We will give you the vibrations, show you in a visual representation that you timed it perfect AND you targeted it perfect BUT we won't reward you NOR explain why your perfect perfect got beat."If the game can tell you that you got a perfect perfect it can also tell you why that perfect perfect got beat. Maybe the pitcher threw a perfect perfect and his H/9 rolled the D20 higher than your 100 contact w 97 power batter. The game doesn't tell you ANY information and you feel like you got robbed. That's in no way the players fault for being mad about that. It's SDS fault for literally leaving the player frustrated and confused.
I wouldn't really have a problem with P/P hits getting lined out IF they didn't make you feel this way and left confused. They should be able to tell you what happened if they can tell you how you hit it. Or stop the perfect perfects altogether. It's a bad system if it can't prove why your hit was P/P.

Look, as others have pointed out, your complaints have zero merit. I've played every MLB The Show release since 22 and your claim that AI defenders botch routine plays "every game" is utter nonsense! On the other hand, if you are complaining about playing against human players in coop then your are blaming SDS for people not knowing how to play the game. How would that be fair?
Your other complaints are equally meritless. You really think every time a batter squares up a pitch that it is a hit? If you do, then before you criticize this video game perhaps you should first learn what actual baseball looks like!

I like your points.Based on my experience, I do like the hitting more than last year.
But the game definitely does have times when it can drive you absolutely crazy.
Sometimes there just seems to be too many times when you get a great pitch to hit with very good timing with a hitter who has very good power and contact ratings against the handedness he’s facing, only to make contact and not even get a hard hit ball.
And that hitter might even have a good plate vision rating (like 80+) and not even make contact even though all those other conditions are met.
I’d even be fine with the game being just a little different if more of my own mistake pitches hurt me. I don’t think much is desirable about a pitcher making a hitter’s pitch and the hitter missing it. That’s just bad on both ends and not a compelling product.
So it just feels like a little too often that the game doesn’t provide authentic results.
I’d rather win 5-3 than 3-0 if the game is fair. Yeah, it might be frustrating to give up hits on hitters’ pitches, but no one can really complain if those hits are indeed on hitters’ pitches since hitters are supposed to take advantage of those pitches anyway.

One thing I have noticed is I’ve had a lot more swing and misses and it tells me I had good timing I’ve played this game forever and I don’t remember that happening very frequently or at all it’s really not a bad thing players swing and miss that’s baseball

Is it really good contact and timing if you don't even touch the ball though? I think the game has a problem at letting you know your actual skills and input quality. The problem is it doesn't know how to. It just says random information. Ive had swings tell me bad timing and bad contact yet if you look at the image it gives you the bat is literally making contact with the ball.
I don't have problems with swinging and missing. I have problems with inaccurate or inconsistent statistics presented. -
