Dashboarding

@BJDUBBYAH_PSN get better internet or don’t play online that is not an excuse
-
@UnsaferRainbows_XBL My internet is fine thanks.
-
@BJDUBBYAH_PSN Obviously I’m talking about people with bad internet that wasn’t directed at you
-
I report every dashboarder for connection issues. SDS should suspend a player for some amount of time when they get enough reports.
-
What's crazy is how fast some of those guys can dashboard. Like some that are a low line drive home run that comes off the bat like a rocket, they are a tad to slow on the dashboard and the homerun ends up registering. However, I had someone a week or so ago and I got the lost connection message in what seemed like a split second after the ball left the bat. Fastest one I've seen yet.
-
@dsparks_PSN With practice your reaction improves. It helps with hitting and quitting.
-
I think the solve is a dashboard on a ball in play should be an automatic home run. A few days ago the dashboard came after my home run stadium sound had already played and I still didn’t get credit for it. I couldn’t care less about a dashboard quit if they would just give me the stats I am owed.

I think that's a good idea.

How is that a 'connection' issue?
-
@X-FREEZE-OFF-X_PSN I am giving them the benefit of the doubt. They have poor internet and not poor sportsmanship.
-
You still get the win so who cares?

Banning someone for a week for what could have been a legit dropped connection would not be okay. It's frustrating yes, and most likely not a loss of connection. But there is no way to prove it.
That's why you let them have a first offense.
If there is a second offense and those are the only two times their connection has dropped you can safely ban.People that dashboard are griefers and should honestly get total bans from online play, again after they get the benefit of the doubt the first time.
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS If they are able to ban Co-op players with a cooldown after a freeze then there is no reason they cannot due similar when a player closes app rather than quitting manually. A couple cooldowns and dashboarding would drastically reduced.

And how does someone that has poor internet deserve being reported?
-
@X-FREEZE-OFF-X_PSN if their internet just happens to drop as my fly clears the fence I will report them.

When you are 24/25 homeruns in BR it matters.

How do you know they are Dashboarding?
-
@iBonafideScrub__PSN
Oh no so you have to play 1 more 3 inning game how terrible, and arent actually penalized anyways because you still got the win. -
I absolutely love when people do that. I love that I made someone so mad they rage quit. It’s worth way more to my amusement than any home run.

I hate to break it to you, but usually quitters aren't actually mad. Especially at the other player.
