Season concept is dumb

I’m not new to this game but I took a big break and I’m new to seasons. So you mean to tell me the players I spent money on to get I can now not use? I’m gonna get dragged by this toxic community for my opinion for sure but I really don’t care for the opinions of nerds that never have ever picked up a bat in real life once in their lives. This [censored] is dumb. Greedy asf by SDS.

I enjoy this format. I do enjoy the build your squad aspect and I enjoy playing with 99s. With the old format I never had the opportunity to enjoy my favorite players 99 cards because I would not play the game in month 10 since its release. Now in 4 weeks I was playing with 99s. Brilliant!

You're entitled to your opinion and they are entitled to theirs.
But, your post is emblematic of the problem with these forums. Too many, on both sides of the fence, don't know how to have disagreements without resorting to personal insults against the other side.

You don’t lose those cards. You can still play with them, but yes there are limits. It was poorly executed last year. It’s better this year with the power creep, but there are so many other problems. I’m not sure how I feel about it at this point. I’d feel better about it if we could actually earn wild cards early in the season. I think people should at least give it a chance this year. So many people have made up their minds before it even affected them.

I actually don't agree with this.
I think Seasons was executed pretty well last year.Year long power creep with last year's 2 valid sets would work if they absolutely had to stick with seasons. That would solve the issue of people being upset they couldnt continue with another 1,000 at bats for Chipper Jones, because Chipper Jones would have long been replaced in a power creep model.
Although i think most of us would prefer seasons go away so can only hope the whales have spent less, otherwise Sony would likely never allow their removal.

I was referring more to the multiple sets being able to be used in a season when I said it was executed well.
And it at least aligned with the power creep choice, although the model would have worked with a full season power creep as wellWhat doesnt work is the power creep reset with the season format.
I think it could have worked if they allowed prior season cards under a set rating to be used and gradually increase that rating. -
@Teak2112_MLBTS I don’t see why the power creep reset doesn’t work. I do think they could do it better though. The TA should have maxed out at 95 in season 1 and started at 91 in season 2. More gradual power creep with less of a total reset to 89.

I enjoyed the reset. Not having to face elite pitching every game has led to some fun high scoring games.

Hopefully next year they keep the power creep, use their previous "Innings" format, and not have expiring cards!

@GoozeFn_PSN Day one I understand it’s outrageous, but if I BUY a card then I should be able to USE said card until MLB The Show 25, especially if they only way to Obtain said card is to BUY it.

@theBlindRhino_PSN I guess my problem isn’t with like the No sell cards being seasonal only, but if I buy a card then I should be able to use that card till the games death, especially if the only way to obtain the card is to buy it.
