RTTS should be the flagship of this game.
Would love voiced actors, cut scenes, and a 25 to 30 hour campaign that takes you from High School to the majors.

Storylines is not going anywhere. It's a long term commitment. Besides, it's different teams that work on RTTS and Storylines.

Again, it seems the motivation for wanting to ditch an entire new game mode is the time it takes. I'm going to offer some frank feedback here to a great many people whom I think would benefit from taking it to heart. Stop trying to go through life as fast as possible. Baseball isn't a game of instant rewards. It is a marathon of hundreds of individual plays that require the combination to advance through an inning, a game, or a season. It has to be savored to be appreciated.

In this respect, MLB The Show reflects that need to savor the flavor!

There should not be any flagship mode to this game title. The more options the better and I like the idea of storylines teaching the history of the game to generations of folks who before now wasn't aware of it. It's a trip down the line of personal achievements that should be remembered and appreciated.

Storylines are just moments with a narrative in-between tasks. Not really enjoyable for me at all.
I did them last year and liked it, but this year, now that it's no longer new, it feels more like a chore and a waste of time for me.

That I totally agree with. I suspect a reason why they have not is that it might require a long overdue expansion of stadiums and roster sizes. But, at least on the latest consoles, there isn't a reason why it couldn't be easily supported. Still, particularly in Franchise, there is an artificiality in that player you put in A-ball don't even have statistical achievements, so other than the arbitrary overall attribute level and potential letter, there is no way to evaluate.

It in interesting that there are two A-class affiliates for each team (high A and low A). So, while it would expand from three to five levels, it would I think add realism to GM management in Franchise and also potential promotion options in RTTS.
