Completely agree with that, I would like at least another hitter and pitcher to have moving towards season 2 to use considering they are core cards

@sbchamps17 We’ll probably get more in the season 2 xp path, but it’s not fast enough. I think I have 6 or so out of 60 and we’re almost through an entire season. That makes no sense. We should at least be able to get 20 by now.

I think captains were done very poorly this year I’d rather have them on the ta path as they were than these dumb unlockables and all the other things

@nymets1987 I love the captains this year. They actually made them relevant and mixing and matching has been fun for me.

The captains themselves are better, being unable to earn them is what sucks.

The Captains have been much better this year and you are correct that the biggest issue is how to earn them.
Still, I've been having a lot of fun running my Yankees theme team so far with the Mattingly/Ford boosts. It will suck losing a lot of great pieces once S2 begins (Gleyber/Soriano/Dominguez/Sanchez), but they actually have a decent amount of available Core cards from the Subway Series program that will rollover. With those Captains boosts, guys like Paul O'Neill & Jeter, who are 85 diamonds, get elevated to a 93-94 overall so it definitely makes a difference. I have the team collection Bernie Williams at P5 - another Core card - and with the double boosts he plays up to a 98.

Except he's like a 95 once the Tier 3 boost is applied especially if you have the pitching counterpart

I think if the captains are that good and viable it's more valuable to use low level cards with minimal wildcards in a deck. Could really change my opinions on sets and seasons. I don't need the captains to be easily obtainable but 40k packs and minimal XP/stub/rewards gain from pvp modes outside of ranked is brutal and near worthless grinding for.
People hate on captains but they are EXTREMELY valuable to budget non sweaty decks. -
I still think that all the individual team captains should make all cards core it’s hard to collect cards per season per MLB team.
