SDS Blog on Season 2 talking points.

@X-FREEZE-OFF-X Yes, but is it that hard to understand, that Core-S1 is basically the same as S1-S2 (like it was last year)? And since nobody has played S2 of 24 we can only estimate from the knowledge we have

I have a couple of S1 dupes, I was wondering if I would be able to exchange them into the Season 2 Team Affinity player exchanges or not?

Thats the only issue for me when its a random card and not a fantasy pack
-
“Any of these task”. So we get credit for what we do? We don’t have to do them all?
-
Faster progression, I should hope so. If I landed this far short of bosses and collection rewards this season, if they didn't make significant changes, would fall really comically short when people are off on vacations, having a summer, missing double xp weekends and such.

You should get credit for each of them that you complete but you would need to do all 5 of them to jump start you up to earn the first wild card.

No. Can only exchange Season cards within their current season.

They have to do something different. There are some good cards that came out yesterday, but I don't want to invest in any of them because they are useless in a couple weeks. The free ones are fine. This whole season thing just doesn't work for a game like this.
-
No gameplay update it’s still a huge L
-
Your never going to get a game play update so just stop asking for one. I'm pretty sure they didn't give one at all last year

They Promise faster progression in Season 2
Completing any of these tasks in Season 1 will jumpstart your progress in Season 2:
- Completing The Show Classics Program
- Completing the Season 1 Recap Program
- Completing the Egg Hunt Program
- Unlocking Season Awards Mookie Betts through the Season Awards Program Collection
- Collecting 250 Season 1 cards in the Season 1 Collection for CC Sabathia
If you have completed all of the above you earn the first 10 levels of the Program, including your first Wildcard slot
This means that you don't get one by default to start the season unless you have done all of the above.
Season 2 Card Restrictions by Mode
Green check mark means restrictions are always on
Yellow ! means it will be a mix of restricted and non-restricted content
Red X are modes that are never restricted.
MISC
We are creating a quick start in Season 2 so you can earn your first Wild Card slot on the first day of Season 2! Look for:
- Head Start Rewards that provide big XP amounts (see below for more info)
- Double XP weekend for Season 2 launch
- More than 200,000 XP rewards in various programs at the start of Season 2
- TA Cards start at 89 overalls
Curious
Note: To help our players’ journeys remain balanced for the start of Season 2, we will be reducing XP that can be earned from older Other Programs that were released during Season 1. However, Season 2 Other Programs and various modes will continue seeing higher XP reward rates compared to Season 1 to help you move faster through the XP Reward Path.
They are nerfing XP rewards for S1 programs so that they can control the pace of progress in season 2 like they did season 1. So get those programs done while you can still earn XP.
Only one i missed was the Egg search. Missed playing in a event game and 1 other.

You can still do the event one just need to hit 2 doubles but doesn't have to be in the same game
