Batting stats
-
I'm pretty new to baseball so I'm sorry if this question sounds stupid. When I'm batting, on the left it will have a rating of the batters hitting. If the same batter is is back to hit again in another inning why does their batting stats numbers sometimes change?

Their actual stats like Batting Average can change every at bat.
If you are talking about attributes then pay close attention as they don't always show the same 3 attributes.

Thanks for clearing that up, it makes more sense now.

The big Change to notice is Contact or Clutch. The first Attribute will be Contact L or R (Usually shows whatever handed Pitcher you're facing) if there are no runners on or only a runner on First. If they come up again and there is a runner on 2nd or 3rd...that First attribute will change to Clutch. Clutch does not have a L or R difference. This Clutch Attribute replaces the Contact Attribute in these instances. Clutch is how well they can make contact with a runner in Scoring Position. You can have a guy with really high contact that may get on base for you a lot, but a really low clutch which means he has troubles making contact to bring runners in to score.
