Bots?

Can you show us/me the things you’ve heard/seen?

@Thelibero Just score enough to get the mercy after 4 innings. 10 runs.

@BJDUBBYAH
OK. Thanks mate.

The bots are people who pay other people to grind their account for all the rewards. Like he said get the 10 runs fast and mercy him after 4 innings if you play all 9 you most likely will get your account banned because of all the runs that he would let you score

Pretty sure its just speculation and they possibly can ban you, but I think its extremely unlikely.
It would be different if you were win trading, or something that you personally set up.But this is the same as if someone puts down their controller and walks away. Not sure I've ever heard of a ban for teeing off against those people.
Further, I would argue running up the score hurts the botters because you are just making their 3 innings take longer. I would definitely not strikeout, if you are going to get out than you can try to get out on basepaths so they dont get strikeout xp.

In the past, people have gotten banned for "Boosting". Matching up with a buddy online or messaging your opponent saying, let me rack up all these online stats and then I'll quit to give you the win. This is the first time I really remember "Bots" being a thing in the game. It's more of a warning to say hey, if your game record looks fabricated and it looks like you're boosting...you could get banned. Not saying it's definitely gonna happen.

Do they appear in the event? I faced a guy recently who threw everything in the strike zone and I won 6-0. They didn't have an all bronze team however.(I'm on PS5)
-
I'm sure it's ranked only. I want to have fun not play a bit cheating scrub. Win or lose. Just play the darn game.
-
It's only in ranked that you see them and if your cross play is on. (If you play on Playstation and have cross play on then you will see them on Xbox nj but if you play on Xbox you are more likely to see them)

I miss when SDS didn't care how we got the XP as long as we got it without malicious activity and were playing the game...AKA playing the yetis to grind for XP. On one hand I get why they do this, on the other hand...we're playing the game just against a dog water team. As long as I'm playing within the rules of the EULA, who cares how I play the game?
