Is skill becoming less relevant?
-
In my last game, I hit 17 balls over 100 miles per hour versus my opponent who hit 5 and still lost by multiple runs. I realize RNG is part of the game, but can SDS tighten the screws a bit?
-
You also struck out 5 times to your opponents 1, but conveniently left that part of the “skill” discussion out.
Sorry you lost a game. By 2 runs. Don’t blame it on RNG.
-
Also, why is it that people who choose Shield Woods as their home park, come to the forum to complain about their “opponents skill” whenever they lose a game?
I mean, that ballpark is the hitting equivalent of training wheels, but sure, your opponent “fluked” you. lol

Maybe I’m missing something but how do you see people’s game history on this app? Or am I crazy?
-
@bryan44177 You can’t see their history on the app. They did away with that when people like Dubby here kept doing things like this…Dubby had to have fired up the game then went searching for him in the standings. Yes, He actually spent time doing that.

You can go to their universal profile.

It's actually much easier than that. It easily accessible on the website.
I have looked up stuff before when I feel like people are blatantly lying. Looking at the link just posted above I see in his last game (not sure if it is the same game) that there were 6 perfect perfect hits and not a single one of them were an out and 4 out of the 6 were homers. Yet some people will swear that they are never rewarded for perfect/perfect.
Call me cynical but I will not just believe everything everybody says on the forum.

High elevation stadiums and strike zone hitting cams destroyed online play.
-
@Dolenz64 I stand corrected, My bad.
-
lets also be fair, they've kinda turned Directional Hitting into a glitch. I have not problem people using directional hitting, use what you want. I have a problem with the foul balls that you dont have to move a pci to to get, until the pitcher misses and boom. it happens way too much anymore. not saying anyone should or shouldnt use directional hitting. I'm saying the foul ball issue plays right into their swing type.

I play at shield woods, I will never blame the outcome of a game or opponent home runs when knowing I am choosing shield woods allowing myself to be open to chaos.

@LIONED-33 using directional hitting is a severe disadvantage, no one, and i promise you no one is using directional at an elite level.

Strike Zone cams and High elevation stadiums have been a thing since 17.....
-
@chucky97___ correct. Online play has been destroyed since then.

Online play became way more popular since then, strike zone cameras have always been a thing.
-
@chucky97___ and I’m glad you don’t come to forum to complain, grip n rip bud.
-
@chucky97___ that’s absolutely untrue. Directional is a disadvantage on Hall of Fame and Legend. Go watch some of the streams out there you’ll find a ton of people using directional. But again I don’t care if people use it or not. The issue is the foul balls. Go play an event game and use directional. See how many foul balls you get. Then go use pci.
-
@LIONED-33 what?? 'm saying no one is using directional over zone.
-
@chucky97___ i think we are agreeing with each other here lol. I get it, to the people that know...we are not using directional over zone. i 10000% agree...however, there are people out there that are not worried about competing higher than Events who do use directional. and just foul ball foul ball foul ball foul ball, hit, rinse repeat. I'm not saying they are even winning games, i'm just saying its annoying and adds time on games that doesnt need to be there.
-
@LIONED-33 Lol, I'd say thats just the outer PCI over directional
