Basically they mentioned about how the daily "in game" xp cap is at 15,000 this year "which is lower than most years", BUT in modes like Battle Royale it's higher than before (35k). Ok well that's wonderful and all, but I'm not as good at the game as in the past, and bc of that I do more of the offline play within DD.
That's one issue, the other one is that they noted the lower "in game" xp cap is so some players don't access the 99's much sooner than others (which I can agree with), however, unlike in last years game you can't use the previous seasons players you earn which will give you very little time to use them at all.
It seems their supposed answer to this is the wild card (up to 4), but from what i've read, they unlock at various stages of the XP reward path. So to me this seems aggravating in the sense that you spend 3 months down a 2 million XP reward path (if you're lucky enough to finish it, aka probably have no job) then you have to choose 1 player from last season to start the new one........I'm just not feeling it, seems like a whole lot of work for very little pay off. Please tell me your thoughts.

I’m fine with them lowering gameplay XP and increasing it elsewhere to slow down progress. People would just fly through the xp path in days and unlock everything. This is similar to madden where there is 0 gameplay XP and when they release content xp comes along with that. I’m fine with it, we’re supposed to be unlocking things throughout the season.
The unfortunate part is that now it seems like I have to play BR, whereas in years past I could skip certain things. I just want to grind offline to build a team and then play ranked and try to make WS. Playing BR is frustrating enough that I don’t feel like playing in ranked after. Grind TA, grind BR, events if I have time, then ranked, because the ranked program is worthless if you don’t play 30+ games. I basically stop playing ranked if I lose more than 2 games because i know im never going to finish the program, it’s WS or bust.
Maybe if I could sell the BR/ranked program rewards I would feel differently. That’s how I always completed collections from 21-23, grind those programs plus the XP path and sell the rewards. Now the only way to make stubs is to spend money, farm 10-0s (good luck, since all the gremlins who live on the game are already doing that and you’ll have to beat them), or sell everything you get from packs, which is usually nothing.

LOL yeah i feel ya, but i just want to be able to use the people in the seasons xp reward path before they are basically obsolete (other than up 4 a whole 4 at some point in the next season)
-
I think we dont know enough information yet. They havent released any programs yet, and I assume thats where the bulk of the xp will come from
I don't believe BR will be required.
There is 25K exp in classic mini seasons and a large portion of the player base probably isnt touching that -
@Teak2112_MLBTS that's not even what i'm most disappointed about, it's the fact that it's a progression to get the best cards but, obviously they're at the end of each season's program or xp reward path, and by then you won't have time to use them in a meaningful way. What you can choose 1 wild card for season 2, then unlock 3 more throughout the season, why grind for all these cards only to have most of them useless the next season?
-
At least with 23' you could use the previous season's best cards and get some enjoyment out of it, some fake sense of accomplishment lol

@Brando-TheGreat1 I don’t think we know yet how early in the season they plan for people to reach the bosses. I hear you, hopefully it’s sometime in May so that people get at least a month to use those cards and spin the bonus wheel a few times.

@Doctor-Fauci910_XBL ehhh i don't know about that, bc it goes up to 2 million and with a 15k daily cap except a couple weekends with double xp at 30k, and how the programs aren't paying much, i'm not holding my breathe on that thought. Great name btw LOL

You misread it. It does not say that the XP cap is higher in BR.
What they said was
we placed larger amounts of XP rewards throughout various programs in Diamond Dynasty. For example, the Battle Royale Program holds a total of 35,000 XP. This will continue throughout the course of each season.
So doing the entire BR program grants a total of 35K in reward XP but it does not raise the cap. Offline, the Starter Program gives 10K and the Spring Breakout Program gives 20K of XP rewards.
You can still complain about the XP Cap if you want but don't spread misinformation about different caps in different modes.

Making the game unplayable is certainly one way to limit how fast you can earn XP.

By the time you earn the non-boss players on the reward path, they are already outpaced by players you’ve gotten elsewhere. I think maybe they need to bring back evolution players. Parallel is ok but not the same. It’s just so obvious that it’s all about spending more money in the game now and not just the progression issue. We can’t sell the cards we are earning anymore really so progression doesn’t matter that much. It definitely makes no difference for offline players. This whole thing is about selling more and giving the appearance of more content by slowing progression. I get the feeling that this whole year is about SDS testing the boundaries of what they can get by with with the community. It might be a typical business practice but it doesn’t make it any less despicable.
